Default Reforming brass into other calibers

I just reformed some range found .270 into 30-06, full length resized. I have not case trimmed them yet. My concern was a thin neck wall but my measurements are coming out to .0135-.0145 on my factory FL resized 30-06 and the exact same on these reformed .270 cases.
My final intent is to now reform these .270/30-06 into 8mm mauser. Question, should I anneal the reformed .270 before I re-reform them into 8mm since the brass is getting alot of work? Also, should I have just ran these .270 through an 8mm FL resizer and skip the whole 30-06 step (I dont have an 8mm die set yet)? I did around 30 peices of .270 and only one had a very small split at the mouth that probably would have trimmed off but I threw it in the recycling bin anyways. Maybe I should have annealed from the start?

Going from 270 to 8mm your going to get some loss anyways. Annealing will help lessen that loss, but it's range brass. I would anneal and order the 8mm die set and try it. Buying fired 30-06 is so cheap anyways, I would skip the 270 in the future.
