Default Where to trap, skeet and sporting clay

Hi:

I am coming down to Orange County after christmas and was hoping to do some shotgun shooting. Any recommendations for trap and skeet ranges nearby? any good places to shoot sporting clays?

thanks,
Scott

Prado is over in Chino Hills. Trap is about $7 per game if memory serves...

Triple B over near the 605 and the 60 freeway is pretty good.
They have trap, skeet, sporting, and Olympic Bunker.

I've been past Rahauges in Corona but never stopped.

I wish the shotgun range next to Pendleton was still open.

Since my dad and brother were both ex military we went to Camp Pendelton Trap range. It was a great place rates are good but the service was outstanding. the people their actual pulling for you and give you great advice on how to shoot trap or skeet and tips to improve.

This. Great place. You'll never think of going to Prado again.

Rahauges is a little pricey, do they have a field to shoot 5 position trap? Be nice to find a local OC place for pot shoots.

yes, it would. If you just want to shoot slugs at an indoor range On Target near the 5 and Crown Valley (get off at Avery) lets you shoot their own ammunition only and you have to ask if you can shoot your shotgun. I'm not sure if you have to have a rifle card (requires a Sunday class).

Slugs aren't good for patterning but at least you get to check your shotgun function. I have to remember not to change my choke on my shorter/HD barrel...oh, wait, it doesn't have a choke
