49 views and no help - I know how you feel haha

Well, let me start by saying I had the same problem. As much as some people knock the laser bore sighters ... for me, it worked out great. Check out Amazon for one, they're about $8 and well worth it.

I'm too far away to help in that respect. What kind of issues were you having?

Couldn't get on paper?

No consistency in shots?

If you were closer I would for sure. I used a lazer bore sighter in my house for my Aimpoint . As far a shot as you can possibly do in your house. Then took it out to the range and made it true on paper at 25. A few slight adjustments and I now group nicely at 100 yds with my aimpoint 3x magnifier. keep in mind this sight is not honestly a precision long range sight. so anything good at 25 to 50 yds is great.

Are your iron sights zeroed?

Does the Aimpoint co-witness?

Do the math

Take the bcg out and your upper off the lower, look through your barrel while aiming at the bullseye, adjust the dot accordingly. I do this with all my new optics. Easy as it gets.

You can always use the Oklahoma bore sighter, It has served me well. Drop a long string down the barrel & lock it in by closing the bolt (no bullets of course). Prop the gun up on the table or counter with pillows (Keep it from moving). pull the string tight all the way to a far away wall keeping the string in center of the bore. Mark the spot on the wall. Without moving the gun adjust the scope/aimpoint to the spot. If you had a bullet in the chamber and pulled the trigger you wouldn't have a mark on the wall any more.......maybe that's not such a good idea Ha ha (joke). I now use a laser sighter but this method works very well and saves ammo.

haha thanks for all the tips/help
The only issue i was having was I didn't really know which direction to move the red dot. I always ran only iron sights. Troy flip up. I think I figured it out from watching a this video.

I wouldn't mind helping. I'm not too far from field time. I most likely will be there Saturday.
