Default Marlin 795 on sale at Big 5 again!

New ad just came out. With their printable ad/coupon, it's $159 (reg. $199.99) until 10/13!

Thanks for the heads up. I just went to Big 5 today and purchased one. Now the dreaded 10 wait period. I also bought a Mossberg 500 combo last week when they were also on sale. Only 2 more days left before I get to pick it up.

Beginning of 2012. The days of Sub $150 795's is gone. (Except maybe Black Friday)

That's also a Big 5 price. Add probably 10-20% on top of a "normal" price for it.

$159.99 is the normal price for a 795 at Turners.

Correct, but $200 certainly isn't the "norm" for every store. The MSRP on it is $181.20. I see them going for $157-$240 (some of these shops are insane on their pricing) within 5 miles of my ZIP code on Gun Genie.

I bit. Seems like a nice little rifle for the price.

While Turner's may have them for this price everyday, until they put some stores in the Bay Area/Nor Cal this is the best deal on it new.

Also picked up the only 2 mags they had for it on the shelf at $15.99/ea. Salesperson was surprised they had any since he said they'd been out for about 2-3 months. At that price they were actually cheaper than anywhere I could find online if they had any in stock as well.

Looking forward to fixing it up a bit and trying Appleseed with it at some point.

I just picked up a 795 for 149.99 before tax and dros at Dick's sporting goods in Huntington Beach. It was the cheapest i could find and I'm pretty happy with my experience there.

Interesting I didn't think any of the SOCAL ones sold firearms, especially that close to LA. Ones out in the IE don't even sell firearms...

Just googled them I don't see a store in Huntington Beach.. would it be the Newport location by chance?
EDIT: NM google didn't have it but their site did, seems this store just opened 7542 Edinger Avenue, Huntington Beach, CA

I honestly went in with low expectations but I thought I should check it out since they advertised firearms on their weekly ads. I'm glad I went, saved me a few bucks.

Haha I actually had a hard time finding it too, apparently it just opened last weekend.

These are nice guns, I picked one up last time they were on sale/gun coupon at Big 5. I'd get another one but I already spent my gun allowance for this month. Its fun to tell people "I bought a gun with a coupon".
