O man I can't wait. It will be cool to see all the finished products. Mine will be a KISS rifle, but first rifle and I'm excited. Only thing missing is my 500 .223 rounds from Cabela's I ordered in like Nov that they keep backordering...

I literally sold a lower to buy this lower. So expect my finished build about 20 minutes after picking my lower up....poor SDM-R is currently a complete upper and a bag full of lower parts.

Every time I see that Geissele SSA-E sitting in that bag, I cry a little inside.

Quick Update:

We are starting to Laser Engrave the lowers. We will post up some pics this week.

We will plan on making calls later this week, and we plan on starting to ship lowers to FFL dealers Tuesday-Wednesday next week.

Thank you,
AT

Awesome!

If we are coming in to addax to pick up the lowers could we start the DROS process now to save time?

Great question.

Please wait for us to contact you to come in and do your DROS/paperwork.

Please remember that we are also running a day to day operation, and with the current market demand, the number of orders, transfers, ppt etc. flowing through our shop is keeping us pretty busy.

We are asking that everyone just be patient and wait for your turn / number to be called. If we start going out of order, it messes up our workflow.

It will not be long until you get a phone call or email from us. If you do not hear from us within the next week, please email us: sales@addaxtactical.com with your name and order information.

Thank you,
AT

That is great news. Thanks Addax. Already have my upper complete and all the Larue/Magpul UDE furniture for the lower. This new rifle will look great next to the Addax Billet lower and upper you guys built for me and still loving it. At almost 2K rounds she's barely broken in and way more accurate than I am SureShot also engraves magazines

My FFL sent them a copy of his license a few months ago so he could buy some stuff, so that should cut down on the wait time a bit, guess i need to plan what to do with it now. So far I know I am going to cerokote over the anodizing after a light sand blast, to OD green, thats as far as the plan got, lol.

I would have some reservations on coating the receiver. The lowers are engraved after anodizing. Not sure how deep the engraving is but if you lightly blast the receiver the lowers the depth of the engraving. When you cerakote the lower even if doing several lights coats may wash out some detail as the cerakote would fill in where the engraving is.

So its better to anodize or cerakote it first before the engraving? thnx

Yes absolutely, which is why these lowers had gone to the anodizer first before Addax started engraving them.

One option may be paint/duracoat it if you want (it's your lower, after all) but I would be really nervous about getting it light enough to not fill in the engraving since it's such an intricate design. If you choose to go this route, I'd do some test sprays first on something that you've put some small deep scratches in.

Again, not recommended though.

Dros started today, the receivers look great. Thanks Addax and Kaligaran, job well done.

I chose to engrave the American flag and the date of birth of each of my two boys on the other side of the mag well of each receiver.

I took a couple of photos with my phone so the quality of the photos could have been better.

Wow, that looks awesome! I can't wait for my lowers to be delivered. I'm getting impatient.
Aw well, only a little longer.

So what did our total donation come out to? No matter the amount, CGF can definitely use it to continue the fight.
