Many of those manufacturers make boots in various countries, including the USA.

Partial answer to a question no one asked.

If it doesn't say Made in USA I keep shopping.

I recently ordered a set of Bates that ran me about $130. Made in China.... They are pretty nice, but I was disappointed about it.
I know the Oakley boots are made here.

I've worn Danner for quite a while now. Was disappointed to see the ones I just bought were Chinese made. :-(

Best boots I've ever owned were danners. Worst are the ones killing my back right now which are black hawk which wore out after two weeks. Just ordered Belleville boots that listed on their site for $250. Although I got a slight discount, I hope they last at least as long as my danners. The ratio of time for 5.11 and Blackhawk I've owned to danners is that I could of bought five pairs during the lifetime of the danner.
I had to practice what I preach. I'm too poor to be cheap.

Yea, you have to pay attention. The Danners made in the USA have an American flag sewn onto the side of the boot. I almost purchased a Chinese made pair, but noticed at the last moment.

I've had mine for a little over two years and will be shipping them to Danner to be refurbished.

Red Wing boots. If you go on their website you can filter their boots by:
1. Made in USA
2. Made with USA materials

I have a pair of Justins and Chippewas, both made in china. I was bummed when they came in. Apparently the US made made ones have to be purchased locally and not through my work online boot program.

Had a # of pairs of Red Wings and Wolverines over the yrs. Rather spend the extra bucks and have boots that last a couple yrs than 6 months.

Default CAROLINA

My current boots are Carolina...(MADE IN USA) they are a couple years old now and are holding up great. I can't say that they are the most comfortable boots I've owned but they'll do. Great durability thus far.

In the early 90's, in the middle of deer season, my German Army boots simply gave up and came apart at the seams. I had bought them when station in Germany in the late 80's. I went to Cabela's that night and bought a pair of their Mountain Hunter boots that were made in Italy. I wore those boots every day for the next 5 days without a blister and in total comfort.

Some of the best boots that I have owned have come from Cabelas. Not sure if it still holds true, but they used to have killer boots.

Belleville. Hands down the best boot I've ever owned. I wear 'em several times a week. Hiking, hunting, and kicking around town, over a year and half old and no real signs of wear, and about as American made as you can get.
