More F bombs than a Tarantino movie? How about some other F bomb laden films like... oh... any movie about the gangster rapper life?

Or in the eye (you'll understand when you see the movie.)

I kinda got a clue from some people who have leaked a few things here and there about the rookie and the knife.

Went and saw it with my pop (retired LEO) and my younger brother, we are both contemplating whether to join (he's 30 I'm 34) i realise it had hollywood but It made me angry, sad and cringe, I thought to myself "man up this is the scum you want to help get off your streets". Thinking of going thru POST to join Stockton pd, Antioch, Brentwood, Oakley or Lodi.

Good for you... but realize that is good to have the piss and vinegar when younger, but it's also a young man's game out there on patrol and you ain't making no difference in the big scheme of things, so slow down and do what you can do and take it easy.

I thought it was well made and told a good story. Do not take your spouse or girlfriend if you are on the job.

*not an LEO.

Great movie, despite the wrong gun reference. Powerful, tormentful, funny, Hollywood realism and sadness. I give it a 8.9/10.

That is my number one complaint about cop flicks. They never show the paperwork. Its all guns blazing, people getting f'd up, grabbing a ton of dope and money, and they are at home in time to sit down to dinner with the perfect family. Sheeeeeeiiiiiiiiittttt, puhleeze.

One of my co-workers who is retired police said it was a pretty good flick. And he is more cynical than I am. I'm gonna go see it this week.

What was the incorrect gun reference?

If they showed the real amount of paperwork, it would be about 5 minutes of action, and then 3 hours of paperwork and sitting around while the WC tears it apart and you rewriting it and then going home to sleep while your dog barks and your kids steal your money.

Why not take the wife/girlfriend to this movie?

If its as realistic as people are saying it would give them some insight on what it's really like (somewhat minus the Hollywod fluff).

I'm guessing that one or both of the characters gets killed at the end, but that's a realistic part of the job as well.

Hell taking the wife/girlfriend to the movie might help you get lucky afterwards!

I saw it last night. Took a friend (working her way into the girlfriend status.) I loved the movie, but I think it helps if you have been there, especially with some of the verbiage or being able to relate to going from completely bored to extreme intensity in a short amount of time. Thought the cops cursing the suspects was a little too Hollywood. Other than that, I thought it was pretty well done. Props to Mesa Tactical for getting their sticker in the locker room shots.
