Thumbs up Post and Share your Prepping Deals Here! :)

Hey just wanted to share a deal I came upon at Stater Bros.

Progresso Soup for a $1.09/can. This is a full line sale of great quality soup. These also come with the pop top so no need for a can opener.

Any good deals out there that you guys would like to share?

The Grocery Outlet store here usually has the Progresso soups for around $1.00. However, they generally don't carry the full variety. Still a good deal, they are ready to heat and eat, no need to add water.

Also good deals there on other canned and dry goods. The inventory is always changing, so I try to visit often.

the 99 Cent Only Store is a place that i find many items at; food and non food items.

i get many of my much needed non food items at yard sales, thrift stores, flea markets and online auctions. the Marketplace here on Calguns is another source for items worthy of consideration for purchase.

Dollar General ( not a dollar store ) still sends out a $5 off coupon on purchases over $20. I am able to walk there and pick up about $26 worth of stuff for $21. They have a decent selection for a rather small store. They are particularly good at medicines, first aid, hygiene and some canned goods.

I just went to Walmart and they have all their charcoals and grills marked down to hardly nothing. I got 5 12.5 lbs bags of kingsford matchlight charcoal for $4.00 a bag. I think the regular kingsford charcoal was 18 lb bag was $2.00 a bag I beleive.

The Dollar Tree ( at least in Yucca Valley) has started to accept manufacturer's coupons.

Not that I know of.

Ok, not sure if a prepper deal, but a good deal nonetheless.

CVS is currently blowing out some summer goods, but the hardware is among the cheapest of Chinese crap I've see. I did get some decent sunscreen though. 7.49 for a pretty large container sorry I didn't write the oz down

In a previous thread, someone mentioned Bear Creek soups. I was looking for soups I could take camping and for prepping. The last time I was camping I was seriously jonesing for some hot soup.

I just bought one to try out. It appears to be dehydrated and may just fit my needs.

Yes, quite handy to have around, but considered HAZMAT these days if they contain creosote as many of the older ones do. Maybe that's why they are free?

Cost U Less has Marie Calenders corn bread mix in 5 lb sealed bags for 6.26, just add water and they are really good.

We buy a bunch and vac pac them in 1/2 gallon jars.

Some of the smaller 1 lb packages have been in our pantry for 3 years and were great to eat. They also have a web site listing recipes for corn breads. One of my favorites is with shredded cheese and ham.

http://www.groupon.com/deals/gg-cuis...&c=deal_button

Thought I'd pass this as it was my "Groupon" offer today; $59 including $10 postage/delivery and I doubt it includes the small propane tank but those are pretty reasonable - I saw them 2/$5 at Orchard in August but they are usually $3.89 at Wal Mart. I would think for bugging out in a vehicle this would be a good addition - I'm not in the market for it but just thought I'd pass it along - don't even know if its a good deal on a cheap Chinese product or not?

Thanks Ripon for sharing, it seems that it is perfect for this thread.

Something that you would like to share with other calgunners/preppers, but may not be "unique" enough to warrant starting a new thread.

We recently called up the Mormon food supply and bought potatoes, carrots, onions, powdered milk, apples, oats, rice, flour, and beans. All are dried and you can the stuff yourself in 1 gallon metal cans. Most of the stuff has a 30 year shelf life, except the milk and the potatoes which have a two year shelf life. We bought about six cases of supplies (6 cans a case), and will be going back for more soon. It's open to the general public, but you have to make arrangements to go down and can the stuff. It's cheap, I think we spent about $260 on our trip.

Coming in NOV and DEC

Turkey and HAM DIRT CHEAP. Great for canning. I bought about 10-12 turkeys at .29c per pound last year. Also bough a bunch of ham at cents on the dollar as well. We are still eating turkey from last NOV.

Bates USMC RAT boots are down to $39 at LapoliceGear.com. They've been $54 for some time so they're getting tired of looking at them.

http://www.lapolicegear.com/co-bates...-usmc-rat.html

Always good to have spare boots.

And Curad Silver Solution Antimicrobial Gel 1oz tubes are just $1 each at Dollar Tree. Amazon's price is $7.99 per oz.

Pretty awesome stuff. Works much better for me than triple antibiotic or Neosporin. Healed a pretty severe hand burn in no time.

Lowe's is clearancing out their Ball canning supplies (jars, lids, spices, etc.) at 50% off.

Picked up 10 cases of quart jars for about $50 + tax.
