Curious...
What's a good price to pay for a 228 kit; every thing minus slide, barrel, and magazine?

Well those are the most expensive parts...

That and the locking block.

Parts kits that include those parts are running the $2-300 range.

Then there is brownells and I think it is topgun supply as well, they have individual parts.

What craze. Who else is building sigs right now?? The few people who have frames from back in the day when Kto made them last? I've been looking for months.

Ok, I won the 228 9mm kit, now I'm certainly in for one frame and jig AND if it takes another few weeks to get the order going, I'll probably do another to build a 226 with in .40 or .45 down the line.

So would $90 to $110 be too much to pay for everything minus the barrel, slide, and mag.

Before this GB I was buying these parts kits anywhere from $120 to $220, and thought $220 to be a bit too high. After this GB started, $220-240 became the normal price (I still bought a couple at $180 and $206). Now, with the panic (all handgun parts kits are up in price) and more 80% 1911 frames on the market or promised (so 1911 kits are up in price, as well, just an aside), the price is generally around $300. So I think, people are buying based on expectation of the 80% frames becoming available.

It sounds alright, given today's prices. Not sure what barrels and slides go for these days, but only a few months ago you could get each for about $75.

I think it would be cheaper to get the sig change kit because it comes with the slide, barrel and the recoil parts already.

I'm just saying new parts are way more expensive than used. I'm on the look out for all the used P226 parts I can find

Yeah the hard part is going to be finding "kits" that don't include the parts you mentioned you already have.

http://www.topgunsupply.com/shop-sig...arts-by-model/

What I would consider reasonable prices.

Does anybody know if the Sig caliber change kits come with the locking block? If it does that would be great.

if we have to, we'll try to talk Rick down to fewer frames for a min order... but let's not aim for that.

I agree give it a little longer. Right now I'm willing to guess the folks that would feel confident in doing this have a sour taste in their mouth from the ares Rudius debacle.

I am quite confident that is not the norm.

I know I have been asking lots of questions about this so I apologize in advance for thread crapping.

Will these frames have a Sig style rail or a rail like the one on the mk25? Thanks in advance.

They come up on gunbroker.com every now and then. Find "tjonesoutdoors" on there... He seems to have a lot of different parts kits for sale

I also had some luck going on the sig forums and messaging some members

And as far as the build parties go, I think it's been discussed - they'll happen, but those dates will have to be planned after the frames ship. But yes, there WILL be build parties

Questions aren't thread crapping

The paperweights will have a Picatinny accessory rail on the underside of the dustcover.
On the KTO1911s, the "slots" in the rail are not cut, but the profile of the rail is done. Not sure if the KTO P22x will be the same, but I'll ask next time I talk to Rick.

New conf PMs sent.
We are currently at 53 frames.

Still > 30 peeps that have not responded after 2 Confirmation PMs.
