We are in good shape. Will do the accounting and post an update with a (tentative) total this weekend. Count will be very tentative due to the need for confirmation from folks that expressed interest early on, but we'll begin real forward progress on this regardless.

I'm liking the sound of that. Is there going to be a deposit situation?

Thanks for the update goober. Good to see this progressing. Hopefully we can get this closed up and delivered by end of summer.

He mentioned a jig, what about just simple blueprints dimensioning out the operations left to complete (similar to his kt1911 print)?

How many more do you need for the aluminum frames? Might be interested, but on a super budget.

Is it still possible to get in on this? I wante to get a 1911 80% but would prefer the sig to shoot cheaper 9mm.

My concern would be to get a jig. So my second question is: any word on jigs?

blueprints will be provided, and combo 1911/sig jigs are planned.

the GB is still wide open... no money has changed hands and no dates are set yet... so the more the merrier. see above, and previous posts here and in the other thread, about jigs.

What time frame are we looking at to get things going?

Goober, if you need any help let me know. I'll have all parts to assemble a p226 very soon, and i'll also have a spare frame (has a slight crack) for reference, if needed

It would also be good if we could start compiling a parts list so people know what they need to buy to get thier frame from an 80% to fully functioning

Hey folks just talked to Rick @ KTO.
We are GO for steel frames @ $300 + shipping.
Turnaround time from when he receives funds will be about 3 months 2 weeks.
Combo KT 1911/P228 jigs will be available for $250.
Expect PMs in the next few days. I'm hoping to get verbal confirmation form everyone in the next week and to collect all fiunds over the next 2-3 weeks, so we can get our payment in to KTO by the end of Feb.
I'll update the OP with the most recent new GB members..
WooHoo!!!

NO. The minimum order is 100 paperweights for each material.
Folks, unless you personally want to order > 75 aluminum frames, or have a list of folks that do (who are not already on my list in the OP), please STOP ASKING ABOUT ALUMINUM.

List updated.
Draft PM with GB terms and confirmation request written (not sent yet).

MadRiverArms will be handling the finances and shipping on this GB. He ran that part of the last KTO GB I organized, for KT1911 frames, and did a great job. Welcome aboard MRA!!!

Confirmation PMs going out today. Hoped to send them last night but got sidetracked.
The plan is to collect all funds by end of Feb, we'll see how that goes...
