Default 7.62x39 AR Upper on 5.56 Lower

Hey guys!

I'm about to get a pre-ban, colt AR upper in 7.62x39. Will I need to switch out the buffer tube assembly, or anything else before I shoot it on a standard lower?

Thanks for your help!

Just the magazine(ASC work excellent), and possibly an extra power hammer spring (I didn't need to but I have the enhanced firing pin. If you have any questions about x39 uppers, I may be able to answer them

Yea I know they are sold out, but they are a small store in Miramar. I could probably walk in and build it in the store.

I've heard great things about YHM in general, but never used one of their uppers, and I don't know about their BCG's. I DO know that a common problem among x39 AR's are that the bolts can lose lugs. LMT and the SuperBolt are the ones that seem to not break, but I don't know about YHM. if you get it, and the bolt DOES break (not saying it will, they may be just as good as the two I mentioned) then try one of the others.

Nice. I contacted Parallax Tactical about when they would have that upper back in stock, but they told me they were waiting for MGI bolts to get back in stock. This discourages me because I read some bad reviews about that bolt and the item description for the upper states it come with YHM BCG. How many rounds have you shot with the YHM BCG?

Love that muzzle brake. What brand is that? I think the upper currently has a FH on it and I'm thinking I might want to go featureless.

I honestly love the trigger , I think it feels rite up there with the tits trigger that came on my pof308 ( timney 3lb single stage ) I used the hammer and sear out of a alg Nicle boron coated trigger and it's as smooth as silk with a crisp candy cane break at about 4.5 lbs . I'd recommend it for 90$ !!! You can't beat the sick looks either and the feel of the wide trigger face makes it so precise to shoot

What lower receiver is that? It looks sick with the cutout on the magwell, and that trigger makes it look even more bad *****

try pinoy916 hes a calgunner located in sac he will ship his uppers but he has quality 7.62x39 uppers with rails and brakes. hes awesome and i used a complete polymer lower with his upper and no failure to fires and all ejected extremely well. I use regular pmags but they can only shoot about 6 before they start to have feeding problems.
