Default RANGE REPORT: Enforcer and Lil Gun .44 mag

WOW.

Here are the constants:

Xtreme Bullets .44 mag 240gr FP
Mixed Brass
Magnum Large Pistol Primers
OAL was around 1.600
Load data came from Hogdon PDF and Ramshot PDF

GUN: 6" Deagle
Chrony: Pro Chrono Digital (and I am about ready to toss it for the magnetospeed).

Variables:

LIL GUN (Hogdon)
21.6gr: 1290 1241 1267 1314
22.5gr: 1299 1336 1308 1311 1239
23.0gr: 1305 1342 1337 1269
23.5gr: 1320 1400 1432 1400

ENFORCER (Ramshot)
20gr: 1206 1304 1184 1251
21gr: 1244 1260 1329 1214 1317 1314
21.5gr: 1374 1317 1311 1314 1289 1259 1300 1269

I am not too sure how accurate these numbers are since I had numerous errors and shots that did NOT register unless I about skipped the bullets off the top of the chrony. I understand how folks shoot their chronies now. I think it is time to go to the magnetospeed so that I can shoot inside or out at night or day and not have to worry about light or how far back from the freaking chrony I am since muzzleblast does not affect it. I shot 7 of each test string but on some occasions I felt the need to shoot all ten rounds that were loaded for that charge.

Bottom line is that Enforcer was softer shooting and dropped the cases somewhat close, meanwhile the Lilgun was about somewhere near the 2400 or Blue Dot when it comes to magnum loads in that it felt snappier. I was actually impressed with Lilgun since it was anything but LIL; meanwhile, enforcer has a nice bottle...

I still have to try out the N105, AA#9, and Bullseye.

FWIW: there was no leading at all in my barrel and no copper skidmarks.

Be carefully with the LilGun. I've gotten some flame cutting on the top strap on my .500 S&W. I've gone with Unique an H110 an very happy with doing so

Flame Cutting? Outta mah Deagle? ****ING AWESOME! I can use the deagle to WELD now!

My FAVORITE loads for the 44 are the 23.3 H110 and the 300-MP for flames.

BUT, I wanted to at least SEE the others for myself.

I DID notice that the cases look instantly annealed though. I was like, DAMN that musta gotten hot.

I do not have unique yet but I do not know if I saw any loads for that either so I will look for some with the 240gr bullets.

I just shot some more 44 mags at the indoor range. I THINK I will refrain from using LIL GUN anymore in 44 mag. It is really killing the brass. I have purple/blue/violet brass now and it aint just around the edge, it is a large slanted cone that just dips down about half an inch or more. NOT cool... Plus this last time around I think I ended up destroying several pieces of brass. ONE failed to eject but it was split in the middle length wise (could have also been old, this was loaded up about 6+ times now). Still, I think H-110 is the winner for 44 mag loads. 23.3gr is sufficient for 240gr 44 mag loads.
