ETA: OK, so I just went through the July build thread and saw all the AR-10/.308 talk - Is that a possibility this time around?

I believe it was an ar15 configured to shoot 7.62x39, not x51.

Hi All,

Just got back from the class and I gotta throw out a thank you to Dirk, Harry, and the folks at Global Arms. I had a good time, furthered my knowledge of the platform and (best of all) walked out with a new AR-15.

I can't wait to see what these guys come up with next and what future classes they offer.

If anyone has any questions from a user point of view, don't hesitate to shoot me a PM.

TJ

I believe you buy the gun from them and put it together under their tutelage.

The other concerns I have now is the general availability of parts and how much then class will cost now after both the election and the political threats to the AR/AK pattern rifles.

Took the Oct. class, and it was WAY worth it!

If they offer another class, I will seriously consider doing a 7.62 X 39 build this time.

Someone in our Sat. class built a badass 6.8.

globalarms1 last post was 9/17 for classes 10/13-14. The climate has changed dramaticaly within the last two months. I too am interested to see if any future classes will be available, just don't expect to pay $775 OTD for the knowledge and a take home AR.

I have an ar pistol from them that I purchased during the drama. I'm lucky it was finished right before the builder left. The owner was really cool to me until I asked where some of the parts was sourced, as they had to build it for me since they had none in stock, then he got rather hostile and broke off communication. The pistol is nice, but there we're many changes after I paid my large non-returnable deposit, so I had to buy and replace a few things out of my own pocket.
Holy Crap, that is some soap opera material right there and I HAVE to know the dirt! Is Dirk employed elsewhere yet? PM me if you don't want to lay it all out here.

Hey guys,

This is dirk, its true im no longer at global, however im still in the business.
A few comments on some things that have made their way through the rumor mill.

1. I did quit, I wasnt arrested nor was anything missing as a result of my leaving.

2. Eric I assure you any problems with your ar pistol are of my deepest regret, I lef before finishing your build and am very sorry you werent treated better. You deserve it you were a great and valued customer.

3.I did start my own company it is called west virginia arms. I have a partner and we are awaiting our final approval on our class 3 license and our cage code so that e might provide the best quality of service.
To all he folks I have had he pleasure of meeting and taking care of I thank you dearly stay awesome and keep up the good fight.

Dirk

Rally200, with all do respect, your post is completely unnecessary. It has nothing to do with the thread at all. I got an email thinking GA has there armorers course again and I see that all you have to say is commenting on things that don't matter.

Dirk, Please be advised that the proper name isn't class 3. The proper name is Special Operations Tax (SOT). I also don't know why you would come advertise a new business in a thread of your former employer.

For anyone concerned about the actual class it's not dead nor does it have anything to do with the "teacher" not being there. The owner himself has extensive knowledge in building what he sells (like he should) and GA has other highly qualified gunsmiths. My brother and I spoke to the owner back in November (we want to build an AR-15 and AR-10) and he was planing one for January of this year. However, we were told in late January that since the prices of material went up he couldn't do the original price. Which I think show a lot more about the owner than some random argument. The guy wants to give customers a quality gun with an awesome experience.. I've shot GA guns, see them built, from what I've held and shot from them, they have great quality ARs. I'm sure everyone knows parts are damn expensive now because of events back in December. They plan on bringing the class back once prices adjust, which I hope is some time around October or November. Everyone can do what my brother and I did, call or go in have them take down your contact info and as soon as they offer the course they will get in touch with you. Personally I've had a good experience when I've gone in. I don't get treated like a meal ticket but like a real person unlike other places I've gone to.

Anyway there you guys go, armorer's course is not dead just put on hold until congress can get a move on. Best thing to do in my opinion call or, if you're in the Glendale area, go in and put your name down on the list. His concern was the price, he wants to give it to us for $775.00 just can't right now. If you don't believe me you can always check yourself with GLOBAL ARMS.

Hi everyone. I would like to take this opportunity to apologize to everyone here on behalf of my former disgruntled employee, Dirk. We have parted ways, but he still feels it necessary to continuously slander me and my company and he just will not leave me alone.

Whether Dirk started his own company or not is of no importance to me. However, this is not the proper forum for him (or anyone else) to advertise his business. He should consider a better advertising avenue and approach.

During Dirk's time with Global Arms, many customers complained to me about Dirk's work in putting together faulty rifles. Dirk was the gunsmith who put rifles together, not me. Luckily, I am blessed to currently have a knowledgable and qualified gunsmith who builds great quality ARs and REALLY served our country, and still does.

Please rest assured that the armorer's course is not "dead". I have put it on hold until prices on parts are more reasonable so I can offer the class at a reasonable price to customers, instead of having customers pay more and then complain later about the price. My customers are my highest priority.

This is not the forum for disgruntled former employees to air their complaints or advertise their business. We are all adults, so let's act like it.

If anyone wants to "air out dirty laundry", please do so either by calling me directly at (818) 500-4959 or sending me an email at info@globalarms.org and voice your opinions.

P.S. Mr. Sommers, please stay off my threads or more legal actions will ensue. I will inform my attorney of your posts on my threads wherein you are slandering me and my business and please refrain from constantly harassing me.

Thank you. Have a blessed day!
Global Arms Inc.

First of all I want to say how pissed off I am at the fact that anyone would use this forum to post about anything other than GA's armorer's course.

RALLY200 - this is not the place to post issues you've had. I own a Global Arms ar-15 and that thing is top notch and shoots as an arrow. I've know the owner for sometime now and the guy is the kindest person in this industry. How do I know? Because I asked the guy to find me one gun and he spent 2 months looking and trying his best to find me the lowest price. He dodnt call me until he got it for how much I could spend. He's a kind guy so is his new gunsmith and office manager. For anyone to come on his forum and say he didn't sell a quality gun is wrong. AND I'm 100% sure that if anyone has ever had an issue with his product or his find he's always done his best to remedy the issue. Whatever he could have done he's done. I've seen this time and time again.

Like The-beasst said, the armorer's course is full on, Not dead, and will be back as soon as prices adjust. I checked today by going in. I put my name on the list and that was it.

Dirk I cannot understand why anyone would advertise on their former employer's thread. You're unbelievable, and I'm sure there are non competition laws against it. That shows a lot about your character. Instead of taking the high route you come of a GA forum and talk down the company. If I'm not mistaken sounds like you built that pistol. And the proper name is special operations tax, class 3 is part of its description.

Time and time again I've spoke with the owner. Each time he's treated with respect, and unlike other places where they are a bunch of know-it-alls, the owner AND his staff take their time to answer your questions. They always make an effort to show you they have the time for you. That's why I choose Global Arms, that's why I do business with them, that's why any chance I get I refer people to them. I get nothing in return but get services, quality guns and the best damn deal, and just an enjoyment. Anyone who's into guns know exactly what I'm talking about when I say most gunshop workers and owners have a conceded personality and kinda piss you off with their responses. With GA neve had that. No one I know would that I sent to GA ever complained.

Anyway y'all, look out for the armorers course soon. I was told that with the way things are looking we'll be building some guns soon.

Thanks GA

Icy & Beast - you guys need to quit being so butt hurt and get over it.

Rally200 posted his experience and we asked him for more. This is something that has been done countless times across these forums. He said nothing particularly bad, just that things were amiss and it ended up being true.

Two people showing up with just as many posts between them to call him out is shameless.

I think the owner of Global arms came in here, laid out his response, gave all his contact info, and that should be enough.
