Default best bay area ammo source?

I was wondering if you guys knew: where is the best place in the bay area to get ammo in bulk? gun store? gun show? I'm looking for reasonably priced .45 ACP, .223, and 7.62x39. Thanks for your responses.

I've found buying online is the way to go when you can find reasonable shipping...
I haven't found bulk ammo sales at local gunshops and the gun shows are sketchy IMO

+1 for online
i think it's pretty much impossible to find bulk ammo cheaper than online prices

Smaller quantities bought at USI in Concord as a Member are a good deal. Larger Quantities, well, I load my own.

+1(000)! This IS the BEST source, and up to less than 1/2 factory-ammo costs!

Figure in the cost of parking, show, & bridge toll. If you're buying a bunch of stuff, you'll probably make out.

If you buy a bunch of ammo, the Vendor will lend you a dolly in exchange for your Drivers License

I would say code of the west is worth it. Last time I bought 45 there it was 150 or so for 500, or about 30 cents a round. Miwall is a good vendor for bulk ammo as well as redline ballistics. Like others have mentioned there is parking and entry fees as well but if you buy enough stuff or just enjoy making a day of it it may be worth it to you. The cheapest I have ever been able to find brass cased 45 for online was 289 for 1000 aguila 230 grn. Of course, with shipping it came out to 317, or 32 cents per round which is almost exactly the same as the gun show reloads with tax. I reload my own 45 now but I'm still going to the vallejo show to buy some powder and primers in order to save hazmat and shipping fees. I have also bought a few guns at the vallejo show: a rock island 1911 for 399, a browning buckmark for 300, and my favorite a 1964 colt cobra for 350.
