Default 6.8 spc info

I recently purchased a stag arms 6.8 spc (Thanks to riflegear.com where I purchased the 6.8 upper assembly for a good price) with a calif. U-15 buttstock and spikes fake car can replacing the flash hider. It has no evil features per calif. laws, so it has a detachable mag. I`ll be posting pics in a couple of weeks. I would like to see more pics of people who has purchased the U-15 stock set-up so I can get some ideas as in mounting a laser, scope(Aimpoint, c-more, trigicon), tactical light etc. and getting advice on brands in which to purchase as well get some feedback on the 6.8 spc performance. Thanks for your help.

Have you already mounted the fake can? I believe they may be different threads and a smaller hole unless they make one for 6.8. Usually 6.8 has the same thread as a AR-10 (308) barrel. Wouldn't want to pull the trigger and the bullet get stuck in the end of the barrel.

You might want to double check that can before you shoot it. All the Spikes fake cans I have seen, have only been for 5.56 barrels.

spike does make a can for the 6.8. the 1/2x28 thread (the car1 model from spike) is for the 5.56. The 1/2x36 thread ( the car2 model from spike) is for the 6.8. The car2 is a new item. it just came out early may. its really nice. check it out.

Does the can stick past the end of the barrel?

Yes, there are two ways. I'll tell you the one I know.

You need to find a host for your photo. I use Photobucket.com. Create an account and upload your photo. Then paste the [img] url into your post here.

You'll end up with a pic like this:

The code to post the pic is (IMG]http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y32/jdberger/DSC02031.jpg[/IMG] (replace the first "(" with "["
