Does adding a Nordic +2 really give me + 2 over stock? what is total count with a Nordic +2 & XL cap? 9+1?

Nordic +2 with the XL cap would put you at 8 in tube + 1 in the chamber.

Default 930 SPX

Took mine out the other day for its third range trip. First two were okay to good. Main problem was a hang ups inside the shell tube where it would only hold three, then bind up. Also had some FTE's. Cleaning and polishing of the tube seemed to help this. Lot's of cycling probably helped just as much.

After shooting probably 200-300 rounds total through it, it now seems to function flawlessly even with Winchester white box bird shot from WalMart.

Just bought 250 rounds of dove shot with 1350 FPS, so that should help to break it in more.

Shot three overlapping 3 shot groups of slugs at about 70 yards with the stock sights, which I consider excellent for these old eyes.

As of now, I'm very happy with the gun!!!!!

Lot's of good info in this thread!!!

Wow that's quite a grouping at 70 yards!
I am trying to get out to some BLM and throw some clays by hand since I'm under most clubs minimum barrel length requirements.

Haha true, but wasn't going to do that either.
Just go throw some clays by hand on some BLM

Maybe I'll get another barrel when I decide to start to hunt fowl.

Since this is a pretty popular 930 thread, I wanted to quickly ask if there is a service, or method of putting 930SPX front sight/ghost sight on a 930 HD that currently has a bead sight?

OP-Awesome build. You're doing a bunch of stuff that I'm going to do to mine.

Thank you all in advance.

Bought my spx black water edition from TM earlier this year for 710 list price. Did not know they allow shotties at their range. I am going to have to take it there soon.

Love TM for their sales, only go to shoot the shotgun there.
Not the safest range by any means, but they allow any load shell.

Hammertime, it should be possible, but an experienced gunsmith will need to add the front side to your barrel.

Thanks, also, for the kind words.

Blew out the screws holding the pressure switch to my forend so need to figure out a way to fasten them better without scratching up the barrel.

ALSO I'm looking to trade my stock for the Choate Pistol Grip, if anyone is interested PM me.

Is there a way to tell the difference in 1st, 2nd & 3rd generation models?
