Default BATF approved 80% AK47 receivers w/rails installed, rivets and center support

This is a BATF approved (copy of letter provided) 80% receiver blank for the AK47. If you like tinkering with projects or just enjoy building your guns, then this receiver blank is perfect because you don't need hydraulic press or spot welder to "bend" your receiver. These receiver blanks have been professionally stamped on commercial equipment.

All the hard work of bending the receiver to get the correct dimensions and angles along with trying to get the rail height and angle correct has already been done.

Features:
- correct corners from a stamping and not a home "jig"
- the "X" and "Y" trigger and hammer axis locations stamped like factory receivers
- pistol grip nut locating hole already stamped into receiver
- safety raised dimpled to provide proper tension like factory receivers
- magazine well dimples just like factory receivers
- the front portion of the magazine well has the correct stamping
- bolt rails already professionally spot welded into place
- complete set of AK-Builder rivets
- AK-Builder center support bushing and rivet
- template bonded on with all correct locating holes and drill bit sizes
- complete set of instructions on how to finish from beginning to end
- copy of the BATFE approval letter for this blank receiver

ETA: These will work with Romanian, Russian, Egyptian, Hungarian and East German parts kits without modification.

PRICE: $79.95

No. The mag well on a 47 is wider than a mag well for a 74. You put a 74 mag into a 47 receiver and you have lots of side to side wiggle. I have built both.

UPDATE: Henderson defense is apparently "Lock N Load" now. I just got off the phone with them; they don't have any of these in stock, they won't be getting any more in, and they don't know who else carries them. Might as well delete this thread.

Dang.. thanks for checking for us CEDaytona..these looked sweet. Hopefully someone offers up some of the same thing + heat treated. Sure it isn't as easy to drill holes once heat treated but its easier to do that than properly heat treat yourself.

So this thing (if it were still available) could have been completed with just a drill press? That would have been exactly what I was looking for. I would have loved to have built this in my own garage. Anyone know someone else who produces and sells this product? This thread got my 'I need to build an AK' juices flowing and then the last 2 posts were a let down.

A press would still be handy to squish the rivets... I built an AK without a press and hammered all the rivets, and its not too fun.

The don't come with the template to drill holes, but they look okay.

I figured I'd give it a shot too...

Be advised that some say it's actually easier to buy the flats and bend them but I've never built an AK, so I'm not sure.

I think that as long as you cut one hole, or do anything else to it, it becomes a "firearm". So, maybe get one, go to a build party, get some holes drilled, and you'll be "in before the ban" (so to speak). Totally speculative, of course...

So I'm in 'Checkout' right now, and I'm seeing the only option to pay is by credit card, yet you charge a fee for doing so?
If paying by credit card is the ONLY option, why do you charge a fee to do so?
Why not simply increase the price of the item instead?

Just placed on order, but the website was kinda weird. I guess I entered some info incorrectly and then it said there was an error, but didn't tell me what the error was and then it cleared out my cart and made me start all over. Went through fine the second time, but thought I'd mention it.
