Default Polish made AK 47 receiver blank pictures and build.

Got them in. I'd like to thank those who didn't buy them so I could have more.

PLEASE DO NOT DEBATE ABOUT THEIR MANUFACTURING STATUS IN THIS THREAD.

They are simply beautiful.

Stampings are nice and crisp, although not as crisp as the AK Builder ones, but we are spoiled by them anyway.

These will blast and parkerize very well.

NICE... should be getting my 2 soon as well. I was thinking of clamping the flat to the bent POLISH and scribing the safety and center punching the rest of the holes for drilling. If anyone needs I have the schemetaics to the hole pattern for AKS type rifles left side and right side and I can scan them in and post them.

I'll be locating all of the holes relative to the magwell as someone has already mentioned that the receiver is slightly longer than the ones from AK Builder.

Keep Shooting had it for $19.95 when you bought 3 or more, but it seems they have quickly changed that due to demand.

I also see these popping up on Gunbroker with some selling for $50. Bunch of opportunistic sellers and ignorant buyers there.

HaHa...LOL thats funny. I saw 69Mach's pile and got jealous. And as far as the kit stock piling goes I am on the way. I got 5 underfolders to do, a 1969 number matching Izhmash kit and I am waiting for the HK G3 kit to show up. I know its small compared to some of you but its a start. I have my eyes on all kinds of gun kits to. I want to build everything possible to us CIVIES until I can get an 07FFl.

I will. They are prebent with the step down. But it looks like some trimming is required to allow the bolt carrier to move freely.

AK Builder on top.

The Polish receiver blank is slightly longer.

What do you think is the best solution for the overlength. trim the front or the rear. Or just lay out from the mag well. I was going to use a flat for a template.

The length shouldnt matter since all the critical components will be in the same place.

Tell that to the people that set their rear trunnion too far forward by accident.

i plan on trimming mine a bit , i put the trunnions in mine and looking like its just a bit too long for my dust cover to sit correctly, nothing a few seconds on the belt sander cant fit, but going to wait and see how the AK experts deal with the builds before i start anything ....

oh and did i say i slipped the tunnions in? oh ya they fit AWESOME no space or gaps anywhere ....

I notice many people end up trimming the dust cover on the AKBuilder flats to get them to fit makes me wonder if Curtis's flats are just a but shorter than OEM?

I got mine today. They won't require any "serious" trimming. Maybe 1/16". Not like in the good ol' days of top rail layout jigs and dykem and grinding for all of f**king eternity.

First critical fitment/dimensions will be between the trigger guard/magazine catch and front trunnion so that you get good mag fit. Next will be rear trunnion and RSB so that your dust cover fits good. You will have some leeway with the RSB placement on a virgin barrel.

These shells are going to make awesome builds with matching numbers PMKMS kits and the virgin Romy barrels.
