Hello all! lots of great info here, been lurking for a few weeks and have already got my OLL and bullet button. just waiting in line for more parts to complete my first AR build!

i bought by first gun last month; a springfield XD45. i love it and will be buying plenty more firearms from now on as my interest in this new hobby grows. looking into a glock 17c, remington 870, and remington 700 to diversify my collection a little

looking forward to getting involved in the community here, and man i cant wait for the parts to finish my first AR!

Newbie here, but I've been a shooter for my whole life. Been lurking here for a few weeks and decided to introduce myself. Born and raised in California, and after a brief 2 year escape to a free state (NV), I'm back. Had a nice AR while I was in Nevada, but I had to sell it before I moved back. Luckily, I still have a pre-2000 registered AR that never left the state, so I'm still good. Planning on making a couple new purchases in the not too distant future. A Rem 700 to make into a long range shooter, a new upper for the AR and possibly an M1A.

Welcome back to CA! I just recently shopped around for a Remington 700 too, so if you want to chat about it, we can start a discussion in the rifleman's forum or one of the other relevant forums and get some feedback from the entire crew - if you need.

First post here. I Live near Monterey. Took this baby out to the range at Laguna Seca last Sunday afternoon and put 40 rounds of the Winchester through it to see how it shoots with iron sights before I mount a scope on it. It was great.

Very nice. Is that wooden crate full of ammo? If so... you spent quite a bit to keep the rifle fed

I love this place. And to think i was all alone in the world...until i had a brain-fart and decided i needed a new project and for some reason (obama?) i decided it was time to exercise my rights as a USA citizen and start educating my family by going shooting with them. And build an AR 15, just 'cause i can. And a 1911, maybe. Still not sure if it's legal in CA or registering it blah blah blah.
