I'm ok with either or. 7076 would be nice but I don't know if it's worth an extra $50 to me.

Rail would be fantastic!

Rick said a rail would be included if we want it (but again, its all or nothing, no mix-n-match).

Still in for two, 6061 preferred for price, 7075 better material, I'd still be in at that price point.

I prefer the one solid piece build over the two pieces and brazed, that's a plus to me. Definitely want railed.

How does payment work for those who know? i.e., do you require a % down, balance before deliver type arrangement?

I would be interested in 2, possibly for 3. Railed version preferred (better to have and not need, right?)

Maybe this should be cross posted to a couple sub forums so it gets more exposure. I didn't realize this thread was started at the beginning of the month, I just happened to skim over the title today. This thread needs a bit more exposure than the gunsmithing forum. I can't be the only one that never comes in here.

Long time lurker, but this got me out of the closet I would be in for a railed aluminum one... I do wonder about where I would need to go to finish this as I live in Santa Barbara and there seems to be a bit of a void from Slo down to Ventura in the cal guns community... I don't mid driving for a build party however.

Having the rail pre-cut saves some work. I just wonder what else gets left off to compensate.

nothing.

if you mean compensating cost-wise, Rick said he'd include the rail for the same price, and won't be altering the design or doing any less to account for it.

if you mean compensating BATFE-wise, they don't care a whit whether there is a rail or not. as long as the crucial things they (currently) care about are left unfinished, they will approve the frame as a non-gun.

welcome to the forum. i'd also be interested if someone has the knowledge to setup a build party, but considering we're only at around half our goal for the gb im not really avidly going to promote one. just yet.

Nice. Hopefully I won't need a full-on CNC to finish this. If it ever come to fruition, that is.

ok, just to clarify, when you guys are talking about rails, you mean the rail for tac lights right? That's what I'm assuming when I hear rail. I don't see how the front rail would affect BATFE approval.

right.
piacatinny rail, on the underside of the dust cover. not slide rails.

if the accessory rail on these are like the ones on the KT-1911s, then they won't be completely finished either; the slots may still need to be cut.

Ya cause I noticed on the Kto 1911 the rails were not cut. So I wasn't sure.

Anyone know if the frame submitted by KTO is a 9mm or a 40 S&W? The 40 S&W version makes it much easier to change calibers.

My biggest unknown is the cost of the parts for the frame. There are A LOT of parts!
