Default 1968 Savage 440 over/under: any good for clay shooting?

I'm looking at a this savage to use at my local club. It has 2-3/4 chamber, 26" barrels w/full&mod chokes and has good blueing and a good hinge. Right now I'm using a Mossy 500A1 with the 28" barrel and I think I do pretty well with it. Is this a good upgrade? I only really want an O/U for a quick follow up without the disruption of cycling the pump. That and for a bit of conformity. Most guys use O/Us or singles at my club.

The full/Mod choke are not what you want for Skeet.......good for Trap or targets out past 35 yds...........Skeet targets are broken within 22 yds

Skeet or Cylinder chokes for Skeet.

Okay, so I'll want to pick up some to have on hand for sleet. My biggest concern is wether it's a good model or not.

Earlier Savage O/Us consisted of Finnish and Italian imports... The old Valmet 412ST is based off the old Remington Mod 32 if I recall correctly (the Kreighoff K32 is also derived from it btw) and is a good gun (nearly bought one but got beat by a few hours). The 440s were made by Fabbrica Bresciana Armi, Brescia, Italy (FABARM). It just so happens that there's a 30" trap model (440T) for sale on Trapshooters, so that's how I know haha.

Should be a good shooter, and as stated - would work fine for trap (but it does have shorter 26" barrels) but skeet would be interesting - you could always open them up to skeet/skeet, especially if the gun is nicely priced.

I've tried skeet with a 32" full choked barrel. Not easy in the least.

I've taken my trap guns to shoot skeet before. When the birds break they powder!! Looks good..
