Default Beretta 92FS Italy

Did a quick search, but didn't find my answer.

Was looking at Beretta website and they mention the Italian made 92FS being produced. Can we get that model here? If so, anyone know of a vendor that carries them?

Thanks.

I got luck of the draw finding one in a local store. Check around, a lot of places might not know without visual inspection (will say right on the slide).

Yes we can most the gun shops up here have them. I have a Italian made 92FS one way to tell is the slotted screws on the grips. The m9 has hex.

Had to post, since I did pretty much the exact same thing two months ago. Traded my xd9 sub compact for a lightly used italian made 92fs

When I bought mine, an Italian made one is just what the store had...I didn't even specify. Didn't realize they were special or hard to find? I had a harder time finding a U.S. made 92FS than an Italian one.

i have an original REAL Italian made 92 F.with a blackened barrel tip. if you look at the end of the barrel of the USA ones, it is NOT blackened like the Italian ones.....some say that the original Italian barrels are better, but i digress and really see no difference in accuracy in the barrel -other than the shooter. i think it is really just the notoriety of being 'Italian'.....

they also made a G model...law enforcement use. its basically just a 'decocker' model.

my Father was responsible for changing his whole department over from S&W model 19 .357 Magnum to the Beretta 92f in 1987. they even did a whole article in the newspaper on him about the 'police department gets more firepower'....more?? really?? sheesh...it was about capacity and the ease of reloading at the time...and really time to update the dept handguns.

and its funny that after all the years these pistols got a bad wrap of the slides breaking in half, jamming, no 'stopping power', etc, people still seek them out. i personally think they are great pistols and like everything, someone has to complain and spread FUD , but i think that these pistols have made their way back to the frontline in reliablility, durability, and price. heck, didnt Sadaam Hussein have a gold plated one>>???
