S&B is my go-to, but you can't go wrong with most of the major offerings out there.

I haven't bought factory ammo is some time since I started reloading. But when I did, I would get whatever name brand factory ammo was cheapest. May it be, Federal, WWB, S&B, UMC, Blazer Brass etc etc etc. All will shoot fine.

Berry's Plated for plinking/reloading, as they are half the cost, and have not seen any leading thus far...

I had ZERO issues with any FMJ purchased from WalMart, Local gun shops, etc. All has been issue free for me.

My 9mm handgun has not tasted any commercial ammo for over 14 years now. But I use to buy WWB and UMC back when it was $5 per box. Both brands never any issue. Accuracy wise it's enough for plinking and paper punching.

I havent bought factory ammo in a while, i remember stocking up on a couple thousand rounds of Brown Bear. It was very very dirty but i loved it (mostly because of the price)

Meh... the hollow points are cheaper than other holllow points, but still not cheap. $15 a box for 9mm? Maybe its time you got into reloading

My target price for ammo is $10 for 50 rounds of 9mm. I usually end up settling for $11 for 50. That said, if you "want" hollow points then I would say yes the 27.97 for 100 is a good deal... (Compared to "premium" hollow points that can be as much as a dollar a round, just remember that the high end stuff makes all kind of claims about being the most reliable ammo money can buy etc etc...)
