Just came from this milpitas walmart. My 2nd visit this week and same result; no ammo. Apparently, the same group of guys show up at 7am every morning to clean out the inventory. Whom ever they are, give some of us a chance. I have next week off and will try again at 7am.

I know for a fact that they had over 180 20-pack of 5.56 at 7am this morning. 3 boxes per person...thats over 60 people that bought 5.56. Thats a pretty big group.

I got there at 7:15 and I heard there was a minor line outside. When I was rung up there was nobody else around and a TON of ammo left.

I sat this one out. Didn't need any .223 but I'm glad so many people got some. If you can't make it to the 7am speed walk you could always party an agent to speed walk for you.

I'm ok with 223 (just buying for friends at this point)... I'm on the lookout for 9mm now... gonna take more training classes and those burn up 300-500 rnds per day.

Good luck to those who NEED 223 though!

BTW - I've never shot this stuff, how is it?

I've been getting lucky with the various ammo finder sites online. Scored some 9mm, 45ACP, and even 22LR at or near pre panic prices this week. Add that to the slow stockpile i've been building since January and I'm pretty much out of the ammo hunt for awhile.

I still use the online bots as part of my morning routine but unless it's a great deal I don't really have a reason to buy more.

A case of 9mm was found in Milpitas in the backroom on a pallet. 5 boxes of federal 100-packs stocked... 2 left.

Last night WM Gilroy had about 20 boxes of .17 HMR. I can never seem to find .22lr. Gees when is this madness going to slow down. Can't even take the kid plinking these days. If you can't line up every morning or be online checking the web every 10 minutes you're SOL. Anybody got some .22 at non-gougy prices lol

Dayam... I had a CQB class today, and was unable to do the power-walk with y'all. Looks like I missed out again.

However... an old backorder of ammo from Cabela's showed up today when I got home... so I'm way good. :P
