a pack of 5 boxes each containing 50 rounds each is 69.99 as of last friday. Going back every week to pick up a pack. Sucks they limit purchases of 1 pack per customer but thats understandable with those unbeatable prices

Thanks for the reply. Forgot to ask what brand of ammo is that price for? Thanks again.

That's for Blazer brass. In my limited experience with it, it has always functioned well in my Sig SP2022 (250 rounds) and my SA Loaded 1911 (50 rounds). Also worked fine in all of the rentals I've shot.

I was in Reed's yesterday and they are no longer selling any bulk ammunition to the general public. Sales are limited to 200 rounds to range shooters only. The salesperson I spoke to said the change occurred sometime after Saturday and he didn't know when the policy might change.

Yupp, I posted the same thing yesterday. Sales are limited. Note that I am pretty sure this only applies to the bulk range ammo they use. Other ammo is still for sale.

That is correct for bulk ammo. I was there this evening picking up my stripped AR lower and the manager was telling his workers that bulk ammo is now for range use only.

Glad I bought that case of 9mm and case of 22LR 2 weeks ago when I had the chance.

Called Reed's and they are only selling for range use. Been calling around my local Walmarts for 9mm but no luck. Mountain View had about 4 boxes of .40 white box Winchester and several federal hydra shock at about 8:30pm. Anyone have any suggestions for 9mm that is in stock at a decent price at a local store or online? Thanks.

Try checking your local Big 5... they've been pretty good about keeping Fiocci 9mm FMJ in 115gr in stock... 250 count for $79.

I just bought 5 boxes of PMC 45 acp for $27 each on sale at Big 5. I pretty much took all of them except for one. They had some Winchester white boxes 100 count for $56 or $59 each. All the .22lr and 9mm were wiped out except for a couple of boxes here and there. It's been the same story for the other two Big 5's I've been to. The manager at the Daly City store told me they won't be getting regular shipments of any ammo for a few months. They just come when they come. She said to wait for 3 or 4 months and they should start getting their regular shipments on a regular basis.

Placerville wally world had 2 boxes of 308 and some snake shot 22 - THATS ALL. Then, Big 5 had literally 8 boxes of various types.

Indidvidual sellers on this board, while within the rights, are gougeing.

Strange times my brothers.

Walmart still gets ammo, despite what people are saying, I went in last week and they had 6 boxes of Winchester bulk (100 round) .45 ACP there ($41/box). The sales guy told me they had 9mm in that morning but it went really fast.

During the 2008 ammo famine, I spoke to the Walmart counter guy, he said there was a guy who would buy out ALL the .40, 9mm and .45 ACP. He would empty their shelves....and then he'd re-sell it at the range where he worked at a large profit.... Pretty slimy, but also pretty clever. I'm guessing a lot of that is going on.

If I were a bastard, I would have bought all 6 boxes of that .45 acp for $41 a box and resell it for $50. But I left all of them there for other people because I'm such a nice guy.

If someone is that hard up for money, they should grab some cardboard and stand on the corner.

Especially in these times, I would try to leave at least 1 box for someone else.

LOL, yeah that's what someone else mentioned to me too!

I gotta say, I was happy when I went into my basement and noticed a box in the corner, then remember .. Oh yeah! a couple of months ago I bought a case of Federal bulk .22! Woo hoo!

Everything else I can reload, which is why I didn't bother picking up any of that (reasonably priced) bulk Winchester .45 I found at Walmart. Someone else could use it and if I bought it and didn't gouge someone else on it, then I'm just screwing myself over on the return on my investment on my Dillon 550b! (ie; every round I reload, I recoup a bit of the cost of the press, if I buy rounds, I'm not recouping costs!).

It would have been nice if Walmart put a limit on the ammo you can buy...not for any gun control reasons, but to leave some for the next guy. That way there would be less panic. If 20 guys could go to Walmart and buy one or two boxes of whatever caliber they want then some loser can't come and buy it all and then later gouge the other guys at the range.

But whatever, Walmart just wants to sell its stock, no problem.

I would love it if they would limit it. I don't need 2500 rds of 9mm every time I walk in. If I could get 250 I could shoot a steel match and a idpa match in a month and I'd be happy.

Just saw about 10 100-packs of 9 WWB and about 6 of .45 WWB 100-packs. Good luck.

Was down to 1 100-pack wwb and 4 50-rounders 9:00am. I bought all the WWB, there were a few 50 round boxes of an off-brand left in 9mm.

Damn the one night I didn't check this thread they finally get 9mm in. Just called them they are all out again. It's been awhile since I've been able to buy at Walmart. How much was the box of WWB 100?

Now I'm just waiting for some .223 to come in. I'm good on all my other calibers. I just have crappy timing for building my first AR.

Wanted to give you guys heads up. $11.97 20-packs of .223 were on today's truck but it wont be out until about 6pm for it to be stocked. I was told it was 50 grain varmint rounds by the dept manager who had his list of what was coming in today.
