Hey, how do I get hold of the store manager? I got a bone to pick with him about the Diet Dr Thunder situation.

Whaaaa? If it's that much for Turkish made stuff how much is it for WWB@Wallyworld these days? (not thatI need any... I'm ok)

ZQ1 1000ct 5.56 cans have been sitting there behind the counter and in the backroom for weeks. I heard it was way overpriced too. Does anyone in this thread have any complaints or praises for the Turkish stuff?

Have not seen WWB 9mm or what it's going for lately. I only make it in to the Milpitas store once or twice a month. I missed out on the 100 round tubs of 9mm & .45 BrassMax. Looked around at a few stores but it was always OOS (Which makes me SOL). I guess it's all a matter of numbers: when the WM computers realize that sales of a certain item have gone down significantly enough they will adjust the price down enough to keep the volume up and to beat out any competitors.

With WM's pricing getting higher and higher, there is much less of an incentive to go on the hunt for ammo there. It's nice if I'm in the neighborhood, but I'd hardly drive down to Milpitas from the East Bay (like I used to) just to score some cheap ammo.

WM is not what it used to be.

What's that site? dillonprecision.com? What can BLUE do for YOU?!?!?! LOL!

For the most part, if you're willing to buy in bulk, I think better deals can be had online & delivered right to your door these days. I used to be wary about getting ammo delivered to my door (in case I wasn't home, and also because I didn't want random neighborhood people to know my house is a treasure-trove for ammo), but it's very simple to re-direct an ammo shipment to the local Fedex/Kinko's office and I just pick it up there.

Once you factor in WM prices, uncertainty of what you'll find in stock, time & gas, and tax, it's not worth it for me to go out of my way even a few miles to hunt for ammo there these days. I do give WM props for continuing to stock Ammo (at least in Santa Clara County).

Yeah, with online availability on the rise, it doesn't make sense for some of us to engage in the hunt for ammo. Especially with the limitation on the number of boxes you can buy at one time.

I've been buying Serge's reloads or from freedommunitions.com for New Ammo. Both are excellent quality and prices either rival or better than (usually better than) the current WM prices.

As of 9:50 pm on 1/29, freedommunitions has 6 boxes of 500 rounds of 45 ACP reloads for $34/100 roughly. Not bad!!! http://www.freedommunitions.com/45-A...230r-b0500.htm

Hope somebody here can take advantage of it!

Happy shooting and be safe!

Indeed, it looks like the availability and restocking are much worse now in Milly than last summer. I wonder if Mountain view is as dry as Milly.
I use to stop by at Milly on weekdays around 10am since it's on my way to work anyway but for the last couple of weeks I haven't been lucky in finding any 357, 44, 9mm or 223/5.56 at decent price. In handgun ammo what they have most of the time seems to be Federal .40 and 45 in 50 packs at not so good price.

Default Mountain View Walmart on Feb. 2, 2014, around 2pm

I wanted to hit the range today so I had to go out to get some ammo for the trip. I went up to the Mountain View Walmart and this is what I found:

And this is what I came home with:

I know they aren't the best prices but they're cheaper than what you'd pay at the range.

When I left the store, there were still 4 .45 value packs, 3 9mm value packs, and about a dozen .40 value packs.

(I intended to go to Milpitas and check out the selection there and then post here but then I got lazy...)

Large shipment in today. One brick of 22 left. Lots of other stuff, the clerk was still unpacking it all at 8:40 this morning.

I could only buy in brick of 22 today. I think the policy is inconsistently enforced. It all depends I who you get.

Damn. I missed the last box of 22 by probably 2 minutes -- saw two 'bros' walking out with it. Guess I'm not taking the kid to the range this weekend, either. At least I'll get the oil changed in the car.

Congrats on the score fellas. The policy was 1 box per caliber, and they have always been pretty consistent as far as enforcing it. I wouldn't know if anything has changes as I haven't been there in months!

I was at the American Canyon Walmart over the weekend. Some ammo in the case, but nothing worth reporting since the prices are so high. Ugh. Not even worth the trip into the store unless I have another reason to be there (which we did-got caught without our umbrellas on Sunday).
