Complete privi cartridges or Wolf Gold for the most part. Ive saved up a couple hundred rounds at great expense. That brass is like gold to me lol

Yeah I've been looking for some brass as well but it seems every place is out of them. So I am planning on getting some privi rnds and then just saving my brass. I think all ill need is 150-200 rnds. Ill start to order a few of them then keep going intill I have enough

You might want to have a look at the swap & sell board on Castboolits.com. It probably doesn't come up often and probably lasts minutes when it does.

Well you have Norma Brass which is about $1 each from Midway
Privi Loaded ammo is about $0.80 each (what I use)
And Winchester Brass which seems everyone is always out of stock

You can make some "mexi-match" ammo by pulling the bullets on the spam-can ammo and loading whatever bullet you want. Its great for plinking if your local range checks your bullets with a magnet. Its a one time deal, but you get to shoot a good bullet at least. I load the 123gr .310 dia Hornady SP bullets into the surplus cases. They are great for pigs and deer. Shoots 1 MOA out of my Sporter Mosin

See if you can find the Prvi ammo on sale. That's the way to go. Lapua and Norma brass are both very expensive. Why pay over a buck per empty case when you can get full ammo for less?

Once upon a time I caught a MidwayUSA sale of Prvi for $11.50 or so per box of 20. Thank you, Mr. Potterfield!

Soviet surplus round are .15 to .19 cents (shipped) By the time you buy Privi or other rounds at .50 per to get the brass, buy the dies and equipment to make the reloads, then buy the bullets, powder and primer, there is NO WAY you will do it for less than .19 per. What's the point?

Soviet surplus rounds are only good for the desert or ranges that allow magnetic ammo. Most of has have convenient access to neither, so are forced to buy Privi at $1.50 a round, or reload it for $.50 a round. The choice is clear

The surplus will run out some day. Neck sizing good brass will last many time over with lite loads.

But you could never have enough surplus ammo.
