Default M&P15-22 going to be banned in CA?

Just curious that if CA bans ALL semi-auto weapons does that mean my M&P15-22 I just picked up last month becomes an illegal weapon in this state? Everything I have already read on the proposed legislation doesnt seem to exempt my lil rimfire baby, please correct me if i'm wrong?

I think we should focus on beating the proposals before succumbing to them, but from the looks of it your semi auto 22 will have to be registered as an AW.

Speculation. We don't know yet, it's useless to conjecture until we actually see bill content and progress.

i think they are more worried about centerfire rifles. however, if the mp15-22 had 30 rd. magazines they would be banned. Hopefully not.

Don't get too nervous just yet. When and if the proposed legislation becomes law there will be a slew of law suits against it. I have no doubt that there will be a new law passed in CA but not soon and not as stated by Darryl Feinstein (ya, I know that's not his name).

Those are banned ( 15/22 30rnd mags) because that rifle
didn't exists before the ban

For those in the rimfire forum please venture into the 2A forum and see whats going on. From what lawmakers are saying ANY rifle capable of accepting magazines larger than 5 rounds is gone and there was talk of having no grandfather policy. Don't think they won't take .22's and if that five cent a round tax happens rimfire is going to get a lot more expensive.

Wow, that will be great to pay $.03 a round for bulk .22lr and then a $.05 tax per round. Only a politician or a lawyer could think that up.

Wrong attitude. Look what happened to those who registered AW's in 99. They said the same...as long as they leave my RAW alone. Now, they are talking about confiscation of those RAW.

We need to fight all anti 2A bills.

Grandfathering is on the table also, so no registration, just confiscation.
