Default MagPul 6.8 mags...?

I really like my 5.56 MagPul mags -

But cant find followers to convert them into 6.8 -

And my C products 6.8 followers wont work.

How would someone go about a project like this...?

Not sure about this,

I had read that Magpul was in the process of building a 6.8 mags but was having design issues so the scrapped the whole project (for now).

Lets see if others chime in because I am no expert. I was in the market for a 6.8 upper but was not happy about mag selection so I got kinda discouraged.

The ribs are different, it would probably require some rotary tool magic to get the followers to work (I dunno if even that would work).

They were working on it and canked it a few years ago. They had to make the mags thinner and thinner to accomodate 6.8 ammo to the point that the thinness compromised the strength of the mag body and would make it unusably fragile.

Maybe with the new M3 mag they will work on it again.
Just like the 40rd pmag
Just like the quad stack pmag
Just like the (insert magpul vaporware here)

I load 6.8spc into my Pmags with no problems. A 10/30 5.56/223 won't hold ten 6.8's so you'll have to trim your mag block to get a 10/30. If yours are pop rivetted, you'll have to relocate the rivet a little lower.

Magpul in partnership with lwrc has developed a new 6.8 mag, however this also requires a modified magwell which LWRC will happily provide the specs for

It is currently only for lwrc M6 spec'd lowers. They had to make the magwell physically bigger so it would take the wider magazine. No longer a usgi/stanag/whatever you want to call it spec'd magwell.
