Default Any experience with Team 3 Tactical at Chabot?

Anyone have experience with Team 3 Tactical at Chabot?
http://www.chabotgunclub.com/Team3Tactical.htm
According to that page, the typical class has a ratio of one instructor to 5 students, and most of the instructors have a 'US Navy Special Warfare Firearms Instructor' background, and it costs 100 bucks per day, which all sounds good. But then they are very into "Center Axis Relock" which ... I don't know much about, but from the YouTube videos I've seen, with all due respect it does not look good to me.

Very impressive backgrounds when you consider that level of service. The price is very, very good. Simply quite a value when compared to others with that level of prior military service.
If, that information is accurate.

I noticed the top two Instructors of Team 3 are also listed under Paul Castles list of Instructors.
I could find nothing out there on the web about those guys.

very interested. Emailed for qualification needed.

Was informed that you need to take there Intro and Intermediate pistol classes before they approve you for the CAR training.

Does that mean you need to take their specific Intro/Inter classes? They can't take any other school's cert?

Center Axis Relock is a great way to get shot through both lungs and the heart all at once.....
I like to call it the fatal funnel stance.

But in all seriousness I have only seen one guy who was trained in CAR, he was in a class that I was also in. I will just say the guy was a s**t show, barely on paper at 10 yds and he kept wanting to challenge the instructors about the improper methodology of a modern
Isosceles stance. The instructors were very polite and just said, we are teaching A way mot THE way. So if you truly love CAR then go for it..lets just say I am glad I was no where near that guy on the firing line.

I'd like some feedback on this as well. I'm interested in the Intro Tactical Hangun class. I've been out at Chabot on Saturdays when these guys were doing some live fire drills. Looked fun and always wanted to try it.

A red flag popped up when I saw that they teach center axis relock. It makes me wonder how many other questionable techniques they teach.

They are great guys....and, yes, they are true CAR believers.....but you don't have to take their CAR classes if you don't want to. They only use CAR for specific situations. All of the other handgun/2-gun classes are shot from whatever stance you normally use. Once in a while they will touch on CAR for a short time just to give you a different perspective. Try them out. For only $100, it's a good deal.

PS. the RSOs are usually guys who are now LE but have been in their Special Boat Team unit. We have had RSOs who were active SWCC and SEAL Team members in the past who were between deployments. Varies by class.
