Hey guys, Where can I get the cheapest .223 and .40 s&w bullets at for reloading? Im not really looking to buy in bulk right now so my limit would probably be >500 Any ideas? I don't care what the quality is, Its just for plinking around. Thanks in advance.

I use Armscor for my 223 plinking rounds in 62gr. Probably about 50 bucks for 500. And I use Berry's for my 40 S&W. Probably around 60 bucks for those. Plus shipping and that's just a rough estimate.

I think I could live with those prices. I have a crap load of brass I've been saving up. And I want to jump in to reloading, Due to being lower in funds then usual. What do you guys think the total cost of reloading .40 and .223 PPR?? Not buying in bulk.

Best buy for .223 bullet is Hornady bulk 55gr FMJBT. Typically available from Midway at around $75/1000. You can get them even cheaper when you buy 5-6k.
These are not only cheap but shoot MOA in most AR's, much better bullet than the Armscor ones. I would rate these better than plinking grade. |

if you lived close to me i'd show you a secret spot. they charge $12-$16 minimum to ship the lowest amount (500) and tax in CA if you buy online. they don't tax for local pick up cause they don't accept Credit Cards. i'll ship it to you at the lowest price possible i think i can cram 500 .40s&w and 500 .223 in a $6 USPS small flat rate box, if not it might be a $11 medium flat rate box. i will be going there soon so let me know.

For Bear Creek 200 grain 40 SW moly coated:
I pay 70 bucks per 1k, and that is after it has made its way down south to Southern California. That's 35 bucks per 500 bullets. 180s and lighter bullets are even less. |
