Question 2-point slings for AR-15 / S&W M&P15 Sport?

Are there any good, comfortable, and inexpensive, two-point slings for the AR-15, and more specifically, M&P15 Sport, that would be not more than $25.00 or so in price, either online or in store?

Also asking in the price range of $25.00-$40.00.

Padding would be a plus. No operations contemplated. Will be used for the range mostly, some limited hunting, if at all.

Prompt replies are appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Go with the VTAC. Its on all my ARs, also just used it in a carbine class. They have them at Brownells for less than $40. (Get the padded one)

Redi-Mag Boonie Packer is always highly recommended.

I prefer the Blue Force VCAS, but its a bit more.

I had the two point and didn't like it so I went to a single. For me a lot better.

That one looks like a good buy. I really don't feel like spending over $25.00 in light of all the other expenses, so lean to the amount, $25.00 or under, unless the $25.00-$40.00 group offers so much more.

Fellas, please keep the replies coming. They're appreciated.

Gosh, another VTAC recommendation. Thanks.

As an aside, I am picking up a new M&P15 Sport and was wondering if I can attach a vertical foregrip with it, or will I need to buy something to attach it to.
I don't remember the basic gun configuration with the 10-day wait period.

Talk to Zfields. Hes a member here and offers a 10% discount on custom made para-cord slings. My sling was $52.

SandStorm Strap Works

awesome looking, feeling and comfortable slings for everyday carry. I bought a single to two point conversion sling in Cobra Knot (Solomons weave). I think mine is on his websites front page bottom right.

In the interest of full disclosure, I paid full price for my sling. He nor any of his employees have given me ANY thing to promote his slings. I just want to make that clear I am in no way a shill or spokesperson for his gear. I just thing its awesome stuff.

This adjust to either 1 or 2 point.

Thanks, will research the sling.

Please keep replies coming.

People with first-hand knowledge preferred-this seems to be the case so far.

Anyone recommend 1 and 1/4" inch or 1 and 1/2" wide sling for the Sport?

I don't know the price point but probably not within my parameters, duh! Am I wrong? Perhaps this post will be helpful to others where money no object, so, NBD..... thanks-great looking sling and looks like it would be super-comfortable.

Mine was $52 WITHOUT THE 10% Calguns discount and I choose high end weaves.

Go to the website and play around with it. PM ZFields and see what he says. He's a good guy, and everyday shooter and a Calguns supporter...can't beat that with a stick.

Now the problem with SandStorm Straps is normally they only make them with Hooks, not buckles. Ask Zfields if he can do a 1.5" Double Cobra with buckle straps and not hooks. So the nylon belt feeds through the AR15 sling loop, which is 1.5" wide, then secures through a belt type buckle.

His standard Double Cobra with standard hooks is $40 shipped to SoCal....again without the 10% Calguns discount.

We can do with whatever connection pretty much. Just have to order it if we dont have it in stock.

We have done rifle slings, AK/AR pistol slings, canteen holder straps, mag pouch straps, gun belts etc. Working on canteen holders, and sadly....a purse.....

I like m14 sling. Cheap too.

You can get one at http://www.tech-sights.com/ for ~$15. Lots of places on the net sell them as well.

You can get VCAS on ebay for $23 plus $5 shipping. I have been in the sling buying mood lately and that has been the best price.

Enough that my sling for my shotgun is getting pushed back again since all the black cord will be gone.

You could easily make a sling on your own. I made my own out of para cord like what zfields does. 100ft of paracrod was like $5 plus a pair of uncle mikes slings swivels.

http://www.aresarmor.com/install/eco...huskey2pt.html
i aslo have this sling on my ar. Very cool and easy to use sling.

I managed to break two sets of the uncle mikes. We switched to Talon solid cast 1 1/4 qds. Super solid made in TX.

I'm going to give all of these consideration, including the upper line ones. If I don't go higher end, at least this thread will be useful to anyone else seeking a sling for their AR-15. I really don't know which one(s) yet, but the extra bucks may be worth it for the better ones. Later...thanks.

That's cool is you're a DIY for these things. Thanks!

Smart of that retailer to place videos on the arearmor.com site. Later...

BFG! (Blue Force Gear). Vickers, VCAS or Victory (all are GTG)
http://www.blueforcegear.com/categor...dPoint-Slings/

VTAC is good quality and relatively comfy - but bulky and cumbersome.

BFG without padding is super quick to adjust and easy to maneuver with... the padded version is good too (just a bit bulky).

SKD is a good source (but they dont have SUCKIT free shipping code anymore )

At this time slings are a lower priority so I bought one of the Blackhawk Universal two point slings off ebay for less than $13.00, which included shipping.

Thanks to all, and when I'm ready to upgrade I will certainly refer to this thread, which I am certain will be helpful to others.

Botachtactical.com is currently selling the BDS tactical dual sling 1pt/2pt for the on sale price of 21.99. This is on top of their normal no tax/no shipping cost

$7.71 from Exilemachine FTW

I just wanted a simple (read: cheap) starter sling for my M&P15 sport

https://www.exilemachine.net/shop/bh...-blk-9069.html

I think I actually paid about $7.58 for mine....but with inflation, looks like this is now $7.71. It's made by Blackhawk at least, and works for me (just range trips)

Get a surplus sling small arms aka quiet sling aka 1005-01-216-4510.

Its a simple nylon strap for $3-$10

Honestly a 1 point slaps me in the &@!!$ every time I transition, and I have been doing it for a long time. The Magpul isn't bad and doesn't ### slap me like a standard single point.

Frankly the cqb 101 is my favorite sling, but it is a 3 point. But I got used to that a long time ago.

I switch off between a Vickers combat application and Larue padded sling. Both are very good but for the best price/value I would go with another Vickers.
