I ordered 500 9mm reloads Jan 20 and received it last week. It is packaged very nicely in white boxes.

I shot a box last night. Compared to Federal Champion or Bullet_man911 loads, it feels like it shoots a little hotter. Also, it makes a significant muzzle flash.

I really enjoyed shooting it. I'll definitely order more as soon as Chris and crew get caught up.

I haven't received mine (500 9mm reload) yet and he's still taking pre-orders with an expected shipped date mid-April. Hopefully, my orders is shipped out by next week.

Just got shipping confirmation for my order placed on 2/3! Looks like just over 2 months to fulfill.

Hoping to test out soon to determine whether to get in line again. =)

Ordered February 9th and no word yet.... We are talking 2 months here folks.

If I had to do it over, I'd use Bulletman and drive to pick them up for the same price... arghgghgh

That doesn't matter. I placed my order the same day as Kauaibuilt on 2/7. Two months later, no ammo, no confirmation, no shipping notice. Nada.

I was in the same situation as you and ended up having to call my CC company to file a dispute. Jack Ross responded right away to the cancel request, but then after 2 weeks wouldn't respond to any questions about the refund status.

Well, I just received 2/3rds of my order (9mm and .40) today! Looking forward to trying out soon. The other 1/3 of my order was for reloaded .45 and when I called to ask about it, was told that it might be quite a bit longer before that would be available. Was offered the same value in new .45 (which I declined as I'd already gotten a full case of it) or the same value in 9mm reloads so hopefully I'll have that soon too.

This sux. I don't mind waiting if I have a DATE to look forward to.

I don't think they are shady, just not great at planning orders and such.

Seems like im being jerked around here. Jack ross says my money was refunded 3/7. Sent a follow up email 4/4 inquiring about my refund to make sure they sent it to the correct card. They replied 4/5 with another copy of the same invoice sent on 3/7 and then sent an additional email with an invoice dated 2/5 stating my order was DECLINED? Just got off the phone with my bank, they confirmed Jack Ross got the money for the order and also confimed no refund has been given. Had to file a claim with the bank and hopefully will have my money back by next week. I dunno what is so freakin hard about communicating and following through but this is piss poor customer service on JR's part!

I think the declined order email was generated when you canceled your order.

They also sent me some email receipt when I canceled that claimed the refund went through, but it had no authorization number on it (not sure if there was supposed to be one or not).

I waited 2 weeks after that to contact them again about the status of my refund. At least you got a reply, I didn't, so that's when I called up my credit card company...

I don't know if they have something broken in their shopping card system or what, but the communication/customer service is pretty bad. At least your credit card company will sort it out for you.

As others have said, I would think they would know how much they are producing each day, and have the new front office person they hired shoot everybody updates saying how many rounds they have to make before it's their turn - and how many rounds a day they are making to give them a date estimate.

I placed my order 2/4 and received them 4/6. My original concern was that the quality will suffer because they may feel "rushed" to meet the demand but after inspecting a few boxes, I'm happy with the purchase. I have yet to shoot any but I'm pretty sure they're good to go.

A week after cancelling, I followed up with JR and the reply said that it's up to the credit card company now.

After a month, I filed a dispute from the cc site and it gave me a refund while it investigates with JR.

No I did not call them, they called me out of the blue. I have to say this restored a bit of faith in them. A lady left a voice mail on my phone.
I ordered on 2/8 2k rounds of .40 cal. It looks like CS is improving.

Tried my 9mm reloads at range last night. All went bang, no problems. If anything, shoots a bit hot. I would order again once supply is steady.

Finally got an email stating that my 500 rounds of 9mm is shipped. It show that my order # is 588 although my original order # is 565. Good luck to all who is waiting.

Order #536
Order date 2/6
E-mail notice on 4/11
9mm reloads.

Mine arrived today on Friday 13th, 66 days after the order was placed. Coincidence?

But seriously, for the price I paid, it was worth the wait. Ammo from my December order was GTG.

I'll definitely order some more, just enough to last me more than 2 months

Made my first purchase from Jack Ross in Oct 2011, case of 1,000 each 45 and 9mm new loads. To date have gone through 500 of the 45 and 800 of the 9mm. All no issues and performed very well at the range.

Feb 5 this year ordered 2 cases 2,000 rounds of 9mm reloads (order #508). These finally delivered Tuesday this week, little over 8 weeks. I had no issue waiting as I was pleased with the performance of the first order and the price on the reloads are very good.

Friday night I took 4 boxes from 1 case to the range with my XD9, went through three boxes with no issue. Fourth box produced a squib, cartridge ejected and the bullet was stuck in the barrel. Range trip done for the day. On the way home I stopped at the store an purchased a wood dowel. I lubed the barrel with the bullet and let it sit awhile and then put the dowel the muzzle end and tapped out the bullet.

Saturday, trip back to the range. This time I pulled 4 boxes from the second case. This time I brought my Sig 226 along with the XD9. Unfortunately on the third magazine on the XD9 and the first magazine on the Sig i suffered squibs, cartridge ejected and the bullet was stuck in the barrel. Very short and frustrating day at the range. Same process again when I got home, lubed the barrel with the bullet and let it sit awhile an then put the dowel the muzzle end and tapped out the bullet from each barrel.

It would appear it could be bad powder or undercharged loads. At this point there is no confidence in the balance of the 2,000 rounds left. I feel very fortunate that at a minimum there appears to be no damage to either firearm and certainly that there was no personal injury as the issues were caught before firing another round.

I am emailing Jack Ross Ammo tonight with the story above and pictures of the bullet in each barrel and also removed. Will update the thread with the outcome.

Please be attentive to any 9mm reloads you fire that have been delivered recently in case this is a larger scale production run issue.

Damn, that's scary. I ordered 1k last month to give it a try. Don't mind the wait but kind of hesitant to come across the same issue you're having. Do they offer full refunds?

Yikes, that's the main thing I worry about with any ammo since in practical shooting matches I am afraid that I'll end up with a squib, racking the slide (or pulling the trigger again since in your case the gun cycled) without thinking and trying to fire again... KB!!

ljgrasso,
did you get a reply from JRA? If so, what was the outcome of that reply?

Can you post pics of the bullets you had to "drive" out of the barrels, pretty puhleaze...
