I guess the term squib is somewhat loose, but in my case, I had a casing stuck in the slide. Slide was moved to the rear about 2\8 of an inch.

No movement what so ever in the slide. Not the gun. I've got about a thousand through this particular Sig.

Despite mine and my father in laws best efforts, neither of us could get the slide to move. Took it to a certified Sig armorer...same. He said to send it to Sig.

Called Sig this morning at 5:30am and the nice fellow sent me a pre-paid shipping label. Sent the Sig off today.

Received mine today, however, not sure if they are reloads or new. They arrived in the red boxes instead of the white ones they show for reloads. Funny thing is the red boxes were labeled for 45's with a printed sticker label stuck over top indicating 40 s&w.

Here's something to hold you over. http://www.freedommunitions.com/9mm-...-p/b9r115r.htm

Use Coupon Code Chet-1 for an additional 3% off before shipping.

How cheap are you talking about? PM your price on the 850 shipped. I assume they are 9mm.

These were 9mm right?

I just canceled my order of 2000 rnds - Since their company just got a new case processor, I don't know how long it will take them to work out the "bugs"... I think I'll just keep ordering from freedom munitions until Jack Ross gets smoothed out. I'll probably come back to order once all the orders are caught up.

Yup, 9mm.

Thankfully CHris was able to help with the SIg repairs and sent me some new ammo.

That's first class! Will buy from again.

Maybe you should call Jack Ross Ammo and see if they will take care of the repair cost on your Sig.

Actually, we wouldn't say that. Please PM me regarding your issue. I expect the same quality form my reloads as my new ammo. Our quality controls are the same as they have been, even after getting super busy. This is the first report of a bad round in about 2 years, so its a bit soon to cast doubt on all of our production. In any event, we stand behind our products and we will take care of it.

Send me your bill, the remaining ammo for a full refund, and the offending round if you can get it.

Thanks.

Didn't have any problems with the 100 rounds of their new manufacture .45ACP I've used and hoping the remaining 900 rounds are ok...

Have an order of 500 rds each of 9mm, .40S&W and .45ACP and still (im)-patiently waiting to try them out. Hoping Mike's issue was a fluke and won't happen to anyone else...

What's the expected price at a show for 9mm? $169 for 1000 rds? (not including entrance / parking fees)

Big props to Chris at Jack Ross Ammunition for reaching out to me regarding the damaged Sig.

I'm sure it was just a fluke. Tons of people are happy with their JR ammo so perhaps it was just a bad day.

Don't recall the exact price, but the cow palace show was more expensive on most things including ammo than what you could find on the Internet. Personally found it a waste of time.

Thanks! Didn't notice the "blaster" section of that site before.
Came out to $167.14 shipped (coupon good for 3% off, $16.79 Fedex).

3% huh? Wasn't sure but I thought it was 5% Oh well. Every little bit counts. Just a reminder when ordering from there. There's a box that says "more carriers" make sure you check that and see what the other carrier offers. It's a facked up way to do it but I've seen $5 to $10 differences in shipping rates by using that window.

I'm Glad to see you got this handled PC_Load_Letter. When I contacted Chris about your problem it didn't take long for him to get this straightened out. You asked me what you were going to do with the rest of the ammo. If you haven't seen his reply he's edited it to say "Send me your bill, the remaining ammo for a full refund, and the offending round if you can get it." That to me is stand up. When he's caught up I know he'll be able to handle all inquires this quickly.

when I put in the 5% off code, it seemed to limit out. I was about to order a few different caliber's. Does the 5% only work on 9mm or certain ammo?

I just put 2000rds of the 9mm, 1000rds of .223 and 480rds on new .308 and it gave me a discount on all of it. Are you using this code Chet-1 ? Make sure you put only this Chet-1 I had $785 worth of stuff in the cart and it took $23.55 off.

That's what my order was roughly as well. However 5% of 785 is 39.25 off. Maybe my math is off. Im not the sharpest knife in the draw. My discount showed 21 bucks off. Still a good deal though.

thank you for posting the deal weldonhunter

Yeah I really wasn't sure exactly how much it took off but I corrected it in the post above. The bottom line is it took even more off of some already low prices. That's a good thing, lol. Anything extra off is always a good thing.

This is awesome. I was a little hesitant in trying out the ammo I received, however, after this, you really won me over. I'm glad you stand behind your product and will be back for more once I run out.

Regarding the 40 S&W reloads you recently shipped out. Are they reloads packed in the "new" red boxes or are they really new ammo? I'm just curious because I want to compare apples to apples when testing these out.

Chris is standing behind his product and paying for the damage caused by the round he sold to the guy. He is also doing this without question or proof of anything that I can see. That says something about the business man in Chris and how Jack Ross is run. He obviously cares about his customers!

You can't go wrong with that and it should teach everybody a lesson before you go bad mouthing any company or person in a public forum, contact them and tell them what happened, get their response. If at that point your getting no satisfaction then let the posting fly! It seems that had PC_load_letter done that first he may have been writing about how great the customer service is at Jack Ross instead of trashing them before contacting them.

Great job to PCLL for posting props to Chris & JR Ammo that all is good and JR stood behind their product.

PS never bought from JR Ammo and don't know anybody there, just an observer who owns his own business and stands behind my sales and service! So it makes me happy to see a happy customer and a company standing up for their product. I will buy from JR in the future when they have 9mm back on the market and readily available simply because of this situation and how they handled it.

ordered 1/27 and cancelled my order last week. not that i was tired of waiting but i needed the money for something else. they were quick to respond to my request to cancel but after a week, i did not see the credit on my cc statement. i emailed them yesterday and they processed my refund.

sooooo, if you cancel your order, confirm that they processed your refund. they are super busy so things may fall through the cracks.

I ordered 1.5k rounds and sent about 4 of my friends with each getting 1-2k rounds. I got my stuff and so did they. We all knew going in there would be delays, so why come on here and start complaining. It is like *****ing that your wife got fat when you knew her mom was obese. You had warning.

Price Quality Time. Pick two!!!

So I ordered 1k .40 over a month ago and I noticed that it said 9mm was delayed so I didn't order 9mm I ordered .40 instead. A month later and I'm still waiting for my ammunition that I was going to use for a shooting trip to BLM land next week. Hope it shows up soon, it is listed as processed on the website but it has been like that for a few weeks. After I contacted the owner and told them that the .40 did not have any delay listed on the website they change the website to say they are only accepting per-orders for the next month. I'm glad they choose to add that but they should have done it without me saying anything, before we ordered.

I fell into the same trap as I thought the delays only extended to the 9MM reloads.

Have plenty of inventory so the wait isn't an issue but the business practice really needs to change to charge upon shipment.

I used the web contact form today and got a response back about an order I placed on Feb 2nd for 1000 .40 S&W and they stated they were still working on the orders for the week of January 19th. I hope that helps the folks to know where they stand in the backlog.

The guy also mentioned that they just had received a new machine that should help them some with the backlog and that all hands were on the floor turning out product so no one was tending the front desk which would explain why I couldn't get through on the phone.

I would rather that be the case then for them to hire another person and the price go up. I can wait on my ammo if I know in advance I will be waiting and can make arrangements otherwise if it is needed sooner.

But like I ordered the .40 S&W and at the time there was no notice of a wait on the 40 S&W like there was for the 9mm. So that was the only reason I contacted them. Now that I know that there is I am cool.

Also just a side note on business practice if a company is charging the credit card up front on order receipt and it is averaging 2 months to get all products out that seems a bit like taking a small business loan out on the backs your customer's to me. But in their defense they do openly note that policy on their webpage and we as consumers have a knowledgeable choice on whether to do business with them at least on that side.

Thanks Jackrossammo.com for offering us a low priced ammo alternative I hope you stay just as busy and can keep cost down and thrive.

Hmmm I got the same response two weeks ago and I order .40 cal on the same day as you. Two weeks ago I was told they are working on orders from 1/19. So you mean to tell me in two weeks time they are working on orders fron the same week?
