I would still try and pursue it and tell your CC the circumstances. One other course that may be feasible is filing a suit in small claims court.

Appearntly JR had contracts with LE ranges in NV for their product. I wonder how this will go over with them?

Well I've had enough of this BS. I filed a dispute with my CC company today. 5 months of waiting and still nothing. This is the worst company I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I got lucky and my CC company added an extension to the timeframe that is typical for disputes. Thumbs up to Wells Fargo for helping my sorry *** out. I was stupid to think these guys would ever pony up my ammo, and even more stupid to allow a company to charge me before they shipped my product. Sorry to those that cannot dispute their charges but for those who still can, DO IT NOW! I'll take my business elsewhere.

I have been following this thread for some time now and I agree, after reading about all the wait times and horriable communication, I decided to not place an order.
I dont think its worth the headache of saving 30-50 bucks.

I was in no hurry to get the ammo but after reading all the stories of five month waits I called my credit card company and disputed the charge. I placed my order beginning of june. The cc company asked if they could call them I laughed and told them go ahead and try and no surprise they didn't answer.

I was looking for inexpensive online vendors, and I gotta say that the palmetto state guys were good. Brand new retail in box CCI blazer ammo in 9MM was right about $220 shipped to my door for 1k rounds. The cheapest I've seen anywhere local was $13.99 a box before tax. That's about $302 out the door depending on your local tax rate, and you gotta go pick it up.

For reloads, I'll stick with Serge. Local and low priced, not a problem one after 2k rounds.

See if you can dispute it with your CC company ASAP because it looks like it's never going to come.

I haven't noticed it for several days (maybe a week)... I figured they finally took it down...

It's still not showing on my end... are you sure it's still there?

I made my order on March 23, was in the low 900's

Just disputed the order with my CC company. They said no problem, credited my account immediately and said that Jack Ross has 45 days to reply to the claim. If they do not then the credit to my account becomes permanent.

I gave them the benefit of the doubt... March 23 through August 28 is 158 days... several times longer than they promised to send it out in... thats nearly half a year!

No more Jack Ross.. no more!

Why do you guys keep bumping his ad. Use the complaint forum that was started. I knew this guys was BS when he was selling ammo for the same price I can reload it at.

Probably because most people know of this topic rather that the others that were started later. There is like 2-3 threads on JRA here.

For the people that are pass the dispute time and are in good standing with your CC company ask to speak to a manager. Do take, "You are pass the XXdays to dispute the charge" crap. Remember you are the customer and can take your business and money to another company. They don't want to lose your business over a small charge and a lot of companies are providing cash incentives to open new accounts. The economy is still in the crapper and business don't want to lose customers except for JRA!

A lot of the folks on this thread are frocked, it's not about taking their money elsewhere. They have been charged, the money has been SPENT.

I bought 1k of JR's 9mm ammo. It arrived and I found a lot of crappy .380 mixed in with it. Thanks KIDSTER. And learn to spell, and phrase your sentences in a cohesive way. Not sure who you are trying to help, JR or CG.

He was referring to the credit card company - not jack Ross.

I tired of waiting (ordered in the middle of April) and absence of any response from JRA. Disputing the charge with my CC company (Citi) was very easy - on CC website just clicked 'Inquire About Or Dispute This Charge' link below the charge. No phone calls or paperwork necessary. Let CC deal with this guy.

Just found this on the Nevada Shooter's Forum:

10-27-2012, 06:13 PM Hi all, I have joined this forum in an attempt to quell all rumors regarding Jack Ross and to answer any questions you guys may have about our company. First let me start by apologizing to those who have orders and who have been inquiring about their orders and not had any response.
As you know, we have gone through some hard times the past few months after the online orders got ahead of us and we had to shut off the website to stop the growth of the backlog. The low productivity we were experiencing in the beginning, coupled with high overhead costs resulted in us running out of money and us almost going out of business. I was called by my brother, Chris Parker, when "the **** hit the fan" and have since moved my entire family up to Reno to specifically take care of this mess. The first step was to lay-off all unproductive employees to save costs. Since then, we have more than doubled our productivity with 1/4 the employees we originally had (indicates the amount of waste that was occurring). We almost went bankrupt 3 times in the process but we opted to stay in business and work through the hard times so that we could fill all obligations we made to our customers.
We ended up striking out deals with such ranges as Guns and Ammo Garage which inevitably kept us in business and paid our monthly expenses. We are now at a position where we are picking up steam again and we are able to send off ammo toward the backlog with what excess we can produce each month. Now I know this is not what most of you want to hear but the good thing is WE ARE STILL IN BUSINESS and we are STILL FILLING ORDERS. Our backlog on the 9mm is still quite extensive but we are putting forth efforts to send out at least 25 cases a month toward the backlog. I am answering emails and we picked up someone to answer the phones so your correspondences regarding the status of your orders will be answered. For those that are waiting for your orders, there is something you could do to help. We currently do not have a backlog of 45 ACP 230gr and any persons wishing to convert their order dollar/dollar to 45 will have their orders shipped much sooner than if they opt to wait for their 9mm or 40. I hope this helps to alleviate some worry regarding your orders and your money moreover. We have made a pledge to fulfill all orders. Yes, we made mistakes, but we have a plan to remedy the situation and we are working to execute this plan. For those of you who like, you can email me directly at v_parker@jackrossammo.com and I will do my best to get you a response in a timely fashion as I'm sure me posting my email will result in a flood of inquiries. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
Sincerely, Vincent Parker

10-29-2012, 11:12 PM I know that seems like a long time. But in my mind, it is much better than us going out of business and no one receiving their ammo ever. This is why we are working on making everything right. We just need time. And order conversions to take pressure off of the 9mm backlog.

10-30-2012, 01:19 AM Well that's the thing we ran out of money and that's why we faced bankruptcy. When we first started to accept the orders, our production was no where near where it needed to be to handle such volume. We had a day and night shift running to fill the orders but the night-time staff was incompetent. With our high operating costs, low productivity and the orders continuing to pile on we had no choice but to shut off the website and find a way to tackle what had already built up. That is where I was called in. Our production numbers are now where they need to be and with a fraction of the staff we originally had. We're bouncing back and filling all original orders placed with us before going back online. If you think we're criminals, well that's your opinion. But I wouldn't want to live in an America where entrepreneurs who've made mistakes are jailed. Especially when they (us) are working hard to fix said mistakes and honor all obligations.

10-30-2012, 06:27 PM The $319 price listed on the site is for 45 ACP loaded into New brass. The Reloads run $40 cheaper. This means that any person who is waiting on their order of 9mm with a value of 160$ will receive 12 boxes of 45 or 600 rounds. The conversion is not an even one with you buyers end up coming out ahead the dollar value of a half box of 45, we're just rounding up for the inconvenience we've caused.

10-30-2012, 11:43 PM Gross mismanagement is spot on I would say. This is why I was brought in. As is such, we have now turned everything around and backlog orders will continue to flow out the doors to those who have waited ever so patiently. Those that opt to convert to 45 will see their ammo sooner but it also helps those who wish to stick with their 9mm and they automatically get bumped up the list when someone opts out.

Anyone who sends even one more dollar to these people is a fool. You just CAN'T treat people like they did and expect to thrive. If I've ever seen a business that deserves to go bankrupt, it's Jack Ross Ammo. Also, I don't care a bit about anything they say. Talk is cheap.

^^^ yep... it's just more talk with a different angle.

They've posted so many variable excuses and promises. Seriously, anyone foolish enough to order (after reading the history) deserves to get ripped off. Sorry for being blunt - but they've bamboozled so many times its ridiculous.

I didn't (couldn't) read the entire post on Nevada Shooters (because of the looooong run-on paragraph)... but I did find this quote very telling "resulted in us running out of money and us almost going out of business".

That's proof that they simply lied over and over when they kept trying to re-assure people that they will make it right, just give 'em time... and they weren't going under.

Had they been up front with people they'd have a chance... they phucked a bunch of people and b.s.'d their way through it... now they're trying a different tactic. I've seen this kind of thing in the car mod industry and it's amazing how many people get strung along until they finally wake up.
