Default Armalite .308 AR10B

Looks like $800.00 for the AR10B upper. They are in stock as well.

Thanks,
Chris

Just want to confirm that the 10T will fit the Fulton lower we are currently putting the group buy together on? I'm on the list for round 2. If so, I will take one in black.

The Armalite AR10 Reciever will NOT fit DPMS .308 based lowers without modification!

Default Armalite on DPMS/Fulton

List,

I have heard of people doing some modifications to the lower (internally) so that a Armalite upper will work on a DPMS style lower.

That is up to you 100% as I have not done this modification and can not speak to it. Someone with more experience might be able to chime in. If it does work it would be another alternative to waiting several months for DPMS uppers.

Armalite has some of these uppers in stock right now for me. Others will be a week to two.

Thanks,
Chris

Is it just a matter of increaseing some clearances with a dremel, or more complex. Since I'm spending some serious money on the Fulton lower, I don't want to do a hatchet job on it. A little buffing I could handle.

Personally, I would consider a HAR-25 to be the most correct CA-legal receiver to install these uppers on presently - some folks have had some very good results doing so. The thought of modding a Fulton scares me a little personally...

I still want the Fulton lower and will wait for a proper upper to fit it. That said, I love the looks of the Armalite upper and would be willing to get one if I could get a lower that would fit it. If one .308 is good, two are better. I checked your site and you only list the Fulton lower. Can you get other lowers that would fit these uppers?

Default .308 lowers

I am able to get any lower you want, however only the Fulton and Hesse are allowed into California as I know it.

Thanks,
Chris

Do the carbine uppers only come with infantry weight barrels or can you get it with a medium weight barrel.

Default Armalite .308

I can request any upper from the factory. Usually they offer the same upper as on their complete rifles. If it is a standard upper the lead time is much faster then if it is anything custom.

Thanks
Chris

How much is a Hesse or Vulcan 308 lower? We're looking to get 2. I understand Armalite uppers will fit these?

thanks

Gshjeezz... now this makes me want to actually do something I did not want to do; buy a "Hesse" lower.

Lord, please bless the AR lower manufacturers, and command the Holy Spirit to compel them to make a .308 lower, based on the AR-10 platform, that is also an OLL ! And, if you could ask Mr. H.S. to concentrate his influence on MEGA to do so, I would be most grateful...

In my talking with Centermass Tactical about our Calguns lowers, I mentioned to him the off list AR-10 based lower would sell like hot cakes. He seemed rather interested. Keep up the hope.

Then he said he has built a DPMS and AR-10 based .308 and he liked the DPMS better because the AR-10 took M14 mags and had issues. I don't know, I have neither!

I believe the Hessy lowers need to actually be machined, where as the Fulton (DPMS style) lower just need a little dremeling. Can anyone confirm that?

Here is the skinny:

Hesse is compatible with Armalite

Fulton is compatible with DPMS

The Fulton/DPMS combo should go together like a factory gun.
The Hesse/Armalite combo may require some fitting. A little sanding, but no milling.

Trying to mix and match Armalite with Fulton or Hesse with DPMS will probably require serious milling and may leave an ugly gap at the back depending on the combo you are using.

This is the scoop on how to mate AR-10 and DPMS together, already posted once in this thread. Bottom line you don't want to mix and match unless you are a glutton for punishment or have way too much time on your hands.

Wrong. Have two that fit an AR-10 upper perfectly.

That was some time ago. Armalite is now up to generation II on their own (not M-14) mags.

The DPMS lower with a AR-10 upper was done by a few at ARFCOM. After all was said and done, there was a gap between the upper receiver and lower receiver at the rear. There is a slight radius variance between the the two brands. To me, it looks awful. Would rather go with a Hesse or a complete Fulton/DPMS builds.
