Default Handgun brass catcher?

is there any good way to catch spent brass from a hg with out doing the serial killer ziplock bag trick? asking because i shoot in the forest up here once a week and spend a lot of time picking up brass after. i like to keep where i shoot open and clean for me and every other responsible shooter that go there on a regular basis.

I’ve seen guys spread blue tarps out under/behind where they are shooting to catch the stuff they shoot.

Yea. Went shooting with another guy who really liked his brass. This wonít work that well if you are shooting @ a normal range with lanes, but since youíll be in the woods it might work.

+1 this is what my grandpa does, I always carry a survival blanket in the jeep/truck so it normally gets used for this

Maybe a large butterfly net with some kind of base to mount it to? I want my brass so I can reload (eventually) and its tiring to pick up brass all over the place especially if it's crowded.

After seeing this ad on Amazon for a brass catcher I thought about the same thing, only using a large fish aquarium net.

My dad used to tell me that's Why he had me. Now I just bring the nephews. Lol
Tarp sounds like a good way to save some time.

Get in a shooter's blind with a tarp on the floor. If you're not hunting you don't have to worry about the noisy tarp. I'm not sure what the legality is of shooting from a tent or I'd reco getting a $30 tent from big-5.

Yep, small children and broke friends are the best brass catchers. I am starting to slow down on my brass hoarding due to back and neck problems.

I have simply bought a pool net and a 3/4 dowel and a bit of 2x6 I had laying around all for less than 10 bucks!

Get creative folks.
