Default Good inexpensive ar-15 handguard

Hey guys, Im looking to make my BUDGET rifle a little more stylish. Whats a good inexpensive handguard in a flat dark earth color. Im thinking a tapco hand guard, tapco forward grip, tapco grip, and magpul ctr stock. Please keep in mind that this is for my "budget rifle build" so it doesn't need to be a 1000$ hand guard. Im looking at about $75 tops. Thanks in advance.

How about the Magpul MOE handguard? If you're going budget, you might also cut the CTR stock for a MOE stock, unless the locking lever is really that important to you. Other than that lever they are exactly the same. I have a ctr and a moe and to be honest, at least on a good buffer tube, its hard to tell the difference.

You can get the Magpul MOE Handguards in Carbine,Mid Length,Rifle Length in all their colors (FDE, OD, Black)
They are only about $35-$40 tops. I love the feel of it, fills up the hand nicley and great design overall.

The magpul MOE handguard has rail sections you can attach to it, I'm not sure if its the kind of real estate you are looking for though. You can attach their MVG MOE Vertical grip to the MOE rail.

All I plan on putting on it is a vertical grip and a flashlight, So I guess for the flashlight I will need a rail?

Depending on what light you want to use, magpul also makes this light mounting kit:

http://www.riflegear.com/p-696-magpu...ation-kit.aspx

Other than that you can still just use a piece of the rail from the earlier post and get a picatinny light mount.

The upper you linked says carbine length gas system. Carbine length handguard.

Keep in mind its for my budget build so I'm not getting all fancy I know there is a lot better, That will be for my next build. But for my budget range/throw around rifle I think this is suitable.

Usually its a hex shaped driver, but I happen to have a flathead that fits into the stock milspec hex that I've been using. The magpul grip will probably come with a flathead screw.

I have a question about the stock and how to install it so Im going to start a new thread. I always seem to get in trouble by the moderators for going off topic.
