I picked up the lowers from Tactical the other day.
Looks like my lil brother goes on vacation on the 25 of Feb.

Is there any particular weekend thats better for you?
Might have to get Pop's taken care of first then see whats up with Lil bros vacation.

Guys at Tactical had nothing but good things to say about you, looking forward to meeting you.

All good.
I think me and Pop'd are going to go up to Sac Black Rifle today to get his parts.

We all took the 21st off to get a couple done if that works for you. Didnt want to mess up the kid time on the weekend.

I'll email you later to double check.

Thank you.

Went today with Pops and got our 80% done.

Craig is by far one of the better "instructors" i have had show me how to operate something i have never even touched before.

Very patient, thorough in explaining the basic whats and whys. We didnt spend alot of time messing with the technical dimension stuff as we really didnt need to, but I'm sure he would have spent the time if we asked.

Overall we had a great time, lots of hands on experience, and good conversation.

Will definitely be heading back up to do the .308 I want, and possibly another AR, just to soak up some more knowledge before we pick up our own mill this summer.

Even then hope to be able to hang out and absorb some other tid bits of knowledge. And definitely hope to crash his paddock at the races @ Infinion and Laguna.

Thanks Craig.

I have done 3 - 80% with seesm and he is the go to guy for mill training and AR questions. If you are thinking about building one you should contact him.

Tagged. The girlfriend told me she wants to do a couple 80% builds together. Like some sort of date. This sounds like a good opportunity

dont go in the morning.
Its kind of chilly in the shop.
Would work to your viewing advantage Joe.
but might cause you trooper to retreat back to warmer territory and be a bit or a let down for her.

Craig knows what he is doing, if you can get an 80 percent lower you can't go wrong by renting his equipment and knowledge.

I saw that triggerguard at STS guns in Folsom. I did not recognize the manufacturer, it was hanging in a baggie with all the plastic Magpul stuff but it is made by someone else. They are black anodized, which you can remove with oven cleaner and then easily hand polish to look like the gun in the pics

Please note this 80% lower as all done by the above poster or whoever owns said paperweight and not by ME... It was him doing it under my "instruction" only... "Turn clockwise or counter clockwise etc etc lol Thank you!!

Interested. You're closer than the Clovis build party, and this helps support a fellow racer.

A TRUE DOWN TO EARTH CGBROTHER HERE!

I had an awesome experience here. Dude has skills! Be patient, listen very carefully he gives very good directions.

I'm very happy with the mentoring I'd encourace at least one self build in your lifetime I'm sure it will be memorable.

@Seesm Thanks man, this was an awesome experience I look forward to more builds.

Think you can help out with a 1911 80?

Also the prices you listed for the lowers.. are those for AR15 or AR10?
