My first revolver: S&W Model 617 10-shot, 4-inch .22lr
I wish I could dry fire it a million times and smooth out the trigger a little. I am going to teach my fiancee to shoot with this.

Just pick up a handfull of spent casings from your next range trip. The nice thing about revolvers is they don't need to feed the case nor stack the rounds. So just grab 10-20 cases and put them in a sandwhich bag, then shoot the crap out of the spent casings. When you go to the range again pick up new cases and throw away the old ones. You should be able to dry fire on the brass cases all day long without hurting the cylinder or hammer.

Very nice revolver by the way.

That's easy - ask her if she would like to be dropped off at the mall for a couple hours.

That picture... it's just so... black and EVIL.

Did you do anything to modify the pic? Everything looks very black. Carpet color removed?

I regret not buying the HK SP89 (which I believe I see on the left in picture), when I had the chance. I remember seeing it for $799 or $899 back when I was in college; at that time I thought that was a ridiculous price for a gun. I should have donated blood until I was dry....
