Default Xmas gift? Sig Sauer p230/232?

Well, the live in Girlfriend wants a gun of her own for Christmas. So, I was thinking about getting a used p230 or a new 232 with night sights. I have already showed her quite a few firearms and she thought it was the "cutest" of the bunch . Well to my questions,

What do you guys think? pros, cons? (not about the caliber) the gun, please. From the reviews I have read it is one of the best .380 pistols available.

Which do you think would be the better of the two, the p232 or used p230?
-I know they are pretty much the same other than a firing pin safety and some cosmetic features.
I will also need to replace the grips with some nice wood ones. GF's wishes.

I know it is "just a .380" but .380's have come along way in the past 30 years or so. NTM, she is pretty set on it and what the woman wants, the woman gets...

I was thinking something similar to this but in a blue/nitron finish: P232
