Default Federal Champion 9mm 100 rounds...Walmart, Folsom

Just came from the Folsom Walmart, picked up a few boxes for myself, at least 10 still on the shelf...$19.95 for the 100 round "Value Pack"

How does this compare to other ammo in this price range?

Federal is good stuff for the price. Great, cheap range ammo. Run probably close to 1000 rds of this through my P95 over the last 6 months with no issues at all.

Good Stuff. My Glock 19 loves this, never had any issues. I just bought a few boxes myself.

Thanks for the info, trying to avoid a costly learning mistake, new to cal(guns) generally speaking, so trying to figure out what type of ammo to have on hand. There is the cheapest stuff for the range, better stuff for other things and then super premium prices for more specialised ammo. I am having trouble figure out what falls where for other than the specialised ammo. I realise people all have opinions based on their experiences, but would love to hear your opinion on the best ammo for the price. Bulk or boxes, etc.

I want to go shooting more regularly but just getting cheapest I can find so far due to cost, but reading online, would be better to get a better grade of ammo to make my shooting experience more a limitation of my ability than that influenced by poor quality ammo.

I just bought a new Glock 17, and bought the cheapest online ammo I could find with a search engine (bvac, once fired). I couldn't get through 2 mags without a ftf. I then bought this ammo , ($20 federal) worried it may be the gun and went through 200 rounds without a sinle ftf. Went back to cheap bvac... Ftf again. In the end I paid like $5 more to walk out of walmart with the same amout of ammo (500) and I didn't have to wait a week for it and it isn't once fired. I went back and bought another 1k lol my wife was pissed.
The Winchester at walmArt is about the same quality IMHO and cost just a little more for a value pack, I think like $23.

I figure $9.99 is the "cheap" rate for 9mm, and they usually sell the 50 round boxes of this stame stuff for $12.99 a box...so 100 round value packs are a steal....

Happy Shooting!

10$ a box of 50rds of 9mm is pretty good prob the best you will find
12$ for 50rds of .40 is also good
Anything below 15$ per 50 rds of .45
