Did you use 4 scope rings to secure the scope?

3 (30mm) low profile rings.
It appears as though the scope (in the center part) is making a contact with the mount, It does not.

I would suggest QD rings if you using top cover rail.
I don't need-em on mine (for obvious reason).

My Photobucket took a sheeet.

Took some pics with something other than a iPhone for once.

Started out as a Saiga .223. sporter configuration.
Standard rear-end conversion. The rear was welded up and smoothed out.
The barrel was turned from a blank, since it is a bit beefier for the dimpling, a custom FSP/Gasblock was made to fit. The barrel is now a 30cal, chambered in 300BLACKOUT.
That's a fixed polymer triangle buttstock,Tango Down Grip, Texas Weapon Systems Top Cover, Solar Tactical safety and Magwell, the trigger and hammer pins are Nickle Boron coated.

The Optic is a Pride and Fowler 300BLK 1.25-4X Supper/Sub, Suppressor is an AAC SDN-6

Color is Cerakote Tungsten.

I like AK platform but dislike it's crude ergonomics and lack of versatility. Traditional AK's and especially with wooden furniture just don't do it for me and AR's are not my thing either.
With that stated, there's many ways one can improve on AK just like with any other rifle that you prefer. AK's just so happen to be my preference.
Yes, all these mods make rifle easier to shoot/handle. In my particular experience they make the rifle more accurate as well and I believe its combinations of things.

Converted Saiga (newer series with 24mm FSB).
Cheek weld with this scope + Magpul CTR stock is outstanding, well balanced and very easy to place on target, a world of a difference when compared to traditional AK.
Those Hand guards dissipate heat much better than any wood or polymer.

IOR 4x24 (tac scope)

Russian 24mm compensator has internal baffle, reduces recoil a bit but sound very unusual/weird, not like any AK muzzle break I've shot with. Only drawback is that its not chromed lined as some of the other Russian muzzle devices. Needs to be removed for proper cleaning but that's not a big deal anyway. I use fine steel wool and it works well.

Surefire G2 (200lm LED).

Damn that is gorgeous.

Nice selection. That ACOG looks like it would sit horribly high.

Its not high at all, using stock with adjustable cheek riser its perfect.
Calibrated reticle for .308

I'll take better perspective pic when I'd get a chance.

Updated AK "pistol".
Probably the last mod, takes a few mods to get to where it's just ideal.

My first AK. A Molot VEPR in 5.45.

Never realized just how thick that RPK barrel and receiver was until I finished it. Not sure if I love it yet. Might be heading to Marketplace for trade...

Very nice, not overdone and not many corner$ cut. Probably still needs a good stock but if original works for you then good.
Have you test it out the way it is (optic etc) ?
