Exclamation *C&R Wait Support Group*

Everyone else is doing it, so why not us? This isn't just for the poor bastards who got a Mosin-Nagant M91/30 at Big 5. Even those of us with our 03FFL still feel the pain of gun jail now and then. Not to mention shipping. So what are you waiting for? Or on?

Tokarev M57, didn't bother with the COE so i'll be waiting an extra 10 + 2 days after shipping is over. Shame it can't be sent to my doorstep.

I feel ya. I'm procrastinating on getting my COE. I just picked up my first M91/30 from Turner's last week. I got impatient while waiting for my 03FFL to arrive. I got it before the wait was done. Wasn't a total waste because I got two Marlin 795's at the same time.

My son, Airman Skitters. is in Arkansas. Recently he's bought an Arisaka T99 and this past weekend a Russian SKS. Not sure when he's planning on sending them home. I told him to wait until he has a chance to shoot them, the SKS will be easy to get ammo for, the T99 not so much. I imagine I'll see them by Christmas, that's when he plans on coming home.

Oh, I also have 2 Walther P1's in the back room at Turners waiting on the 1 in 30 rule. Got 21 more days till I can start the next DROS. They won't take my C&R + COE and honor the exemption like some ffl's will.

Nice. SCW for sure, "Made in USSR" plus the sling hangers confirm that.

1924 is an interesting year for Izhevsk barrel markings, it's a cool blend of Czarist era, and the later Soviet era markings.

This one is my second MN. I picked up a 1942 Izhevsk from Big 5 and fell in love with the history in every part of the flawed finish.

Dragoon + SCW makes me wonder as to the origin of this rifle. Mexicanski? Maybe not part of the ~250K 91/30's the Soviets sent '37-38? There's probably no way to know but it sure is fun to speculate wildly!

I'd speak with the store manager if you haven't already. If that hasn't worked give turners corporate a call. They're really trying to get in our good graces so it might be worth a try.

That's lame. I know Mike and I'm actually in the application process there. It's probably too late for you but it sounds like he needs to be educated. What is Bill saying?

It is not Mike, he can only do what they let him and as for the whole chain it is a no go at this point. PM sent.

I gotcha. Well at least it sounds like they're actively trying to get properly informed on this. They should speak to the Librarian. There has to be info here we can send them to get it straight. That's the whole point of Calguns.

The SKS is a Tula, I think he said it was a 1951, but I'm not sure. I don't have a close up pic of the receiver. The numbers are all matching except the stock.
Here's the cool part of the Arisaka.

He found both of these at gunshows in the Little Rock area.
