Default Glock 22, .40/.357 Sig compatible?

I think this is doable, just wanted to double check with those that have done it. I have a 3rd Gen Glock 22 in .40 and was thinking about getting a .357 Sig barrel. Is this a simple barrel swap to convert the G22 to .357 Sig? I have 15 round factory mags for the gun, so will the .357 Sig round feed reliably from these mags? Just wanted some advice to see if Glock beefed up the guns in any way, or if it was quick conversion. Thanks!

Very doable. The .357 Sig is a necked down .40 S&W. Same slide and magazine. Don't know if it's the same recoil sping though.

Just make sure your G22 has a serial number of CNX or later.

DP1911,

You should have no problem, a serial number starting with K is a very new Glock.

I believe the newer glocks were strengthened to take the stress of the .357 sig round.

You can find out a ton of information about glock serial numbers at:

and at:
