I found a deal online for wolf FMJ and am thinking about buying it. I went to my local wallmart today and to my astonishment it was $33 for 100rds of Remington UMC! I think I may start shooting russian ammo.

Why not? If your pistol can gobble them with out any issues, go for it. $0.17/rd is hard to beat for a .45 ACP.
The downside: Steel cased ammo may be hard on the extractor and some indoor shooting ranges don't allow it. I may also head the same road using Wolf Ammo if Walmart ammo becomes unreasonably expensive. |

That is pretty good price. I am currently reloading .45 ACP at .11 cents a round ($106.50 for 1000) (Lasercast LRN, Universal Clays powder, Winchester primers).
I just started reloading. I know I can get cheaper bullets that will bring the cost down a little more. Last edited by PLINK; 02-08-2007 at 11:38 PM.. |
