Post Review: Mega Arms Tactical Trigger install video and review

The Mega Arms Tactical single stage trigger is a solution to some of the problems with the stock AR-15 trigger. Not all triggers are made the same and I have seen some stock triggers with a lot of creep and over travel while others were more tolerant. Considering the price of the Mega Arms Tactical Trigger this is a great fix as opposed to some of the trigger job options which grind away hardened parts of the stock trigger making them weaker and causing premature wear over time.

Can you compare this trigger to some of the more expensive options on the market? Yes and no, let me elaborate. This trigger does a fantastic job of making a clean crisp break every time you engage, it also reduces pull due to the single sided spring leg design, however it is not going to reduce your pull to less than 4.5lbs which more expensive aftermarket triggers do for a substantially higher price. The grittiness which a lot of people complain about on the oem trigger is gone but keep in mind that is a combination of the trigger and hammer working together. For the price it does a good job of curing some of the common problems with stock triggers and it looks good too if you care about aesthetics.

I would love to see Mega Arms offer a complete kit to include the entire trigger assembly in the future. For those of you wanting an upgrade over the stock setup this is a great pickup at a reasonable cost. Installation is straight forward and here is a video to walk you through the install. If you have any questions and need help feel free to email me.
