Default Bullet Button Trouble

I have a 2011 LMT MRP CQB and it came with a stock bullet button.

I bought a prince50 because I do go out of state and want to be able to turn my bullet button into a regular mag release.

I cannot get the "button" pressed deep enough to have the mag catch clear the lower receiver mag well.

I looked at the "button" and it does not look like some that require a tool that you can unscrew the button from inside the bullet button housing.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I also tried removing the bolt release button to see if there were some way to get to the button but it was a no-go.

I come in peace, I didn't bring artillery. But I am pleading with you with tears in my eyes: If you %*@# with me, I'll kill you all.
