Default Any Georgia Precision AR10 owners.

Anyone own one of these 308 rifles?

How do you like them, Pros - Cons.

I'm looking into a LaRue OBR, but heard these are nice as well. Looking into any input as to how they are shooting, etc.

Any pics of your current GAP AR-10 Rifles, and how you have them set up.

You mean G A Precision? These guys http://www.gaprecision.net/ ?

It is not Georgia Precision, although the owner's first name is George.

They build some of the best rifles out there, can't hardly go wrong.

I'd pick up a GAP gun way before I would ever think about the Laure.

I do not own one, as I have a fellow instructor who does.. I spent a weekend behind his, playing on my range.. I will say it is bolt gun accurate, as his is chambered in 260 rem.. with a 18" barrel..

it was definitely more accurate then my JD home built 16" in 308.. I if I had to do it again I would have GAP built me a weapon..

GAP is one of the best in the business. If you can afford it i wouldn't hesitate to swoop one up.

There is a guy on this forum with one. I think he has it set up with a muzzle brake and monsterman grip.

As an experienced GAP rifle owner (not an AR-10 though), I would take the GAP wY before I'd take the Larue given the similar pricing.

I've always heard great things about GAP's quality and accuracy, but have never had a chance to get some time behind one. One of these days I will own one.

I have had a little time with an OBR 7.62, and it's a nice rifle, too.

The folks who have experience shooting with the platform say it is a different animal altogether, and I'd have to agree. Your fundamentals have to be spot on, 100% of the time. The slightest change in pressure on the shoulder, grip, forearm position or breathing and that shot is going to be printing somewhere different.
Put it all together and the results can be eye opening. I watched my shooting buddy place 5 rounds into 0.2 inches at 100 yards last weekend with an 7.62 OBR. Couldn't do it again. (0,5 inch after that)

I'd imagine it's a personal choice and you won't be disappointed with either one...
