Transferred to Air Force Reserve.I've got Questions
So, my active duty contract with the Corps expired july 31st and on the the 1st I swore into the USAF reserve with a Aircraft hydraulics MOS. I was wondering how long it would take till it shows up on the DEERS system so I can go to Los angeles AFB and get my new ID? i'm having Free Weight withdrawals.

Once you officially swear in, and inprocess, you will be given a CAC ID card. I didn't know they even had a card for the IRR.

Yeah TAp needs to get their stuff together and tell service members about this...once you get out go to the nearest base and get an IRR id and you can go on base use the gym, px and commissary until your IRR time is up. Its the old school style Mil ID..its green and says Marine Corps Reserve. Most bennies minus health insurance. This wasn't always the case, it changed with the 2004 defense spending authorization
